We are talking about Black Friday already? Ah, well, I am always game to talk about shopping!

I hope the BluRay player for $100 actually happens!!

I also heard rumors that there might be a super cheap netbook (you know, the mini laptops).

I got the 128 magnavox at Walmart last year blu ray player, and we love it!!!

My bil works at Quad Graphics that does all the printing for your Sunday inserts and your daily papers and Sunday coupons.

He told me, they just finished up all "back to school" special flyer inserts, which he said is more than usually this year, but many schools are going back already early August.

I casually asked him when those crazy Thanksgiving sale flyers get printed. And he said the first week in August, they usually start printing. But he said, no one can touch them, once they are boxed up. He told me, they get shipped in special coded boxes, which means special handling, special storage etc.

ohh always up for talks of BF. DH sleeps out at Best buy and I drag mom out early. Dad stays home w/ the kids. Works out for me. Hope I can work that out again this year. I work at Kohls putting up the ads so and they have to go up the night before. Man that night is a mess.

OFFICIALLY COPPED! Yo, best believe I’m getting these. I been waiting years for these and they have now been confirmed for a Black Friday 2009 release, later this year. They will retail for $175, but they will be a quickstrike release, which means…FEW will get them. So start making arrangements…

Ah, poor Apple fans. First, the controversy about if Apple is even planning on releasing a netbook at all and now the release date pushback.
Well, the latest rumor is that the release for the Apple tablet will be in early 2010. Steve Jobs is finally satisfied with the prototype and there’s an internal go-ahead for production.

Rumored tech specs for this Apple tablet include a 10″ screen, 3G data, and a custom ARM processor. Apple claims that they had considered the Intel Atom processor before finally settling on ARMinstead. AppleInsider claims that the new Apple tablet would have functionality between that of an iPhone and a notebook.

Well, think about this; did we ever expect Link to be a wolf in a Zelda game? I certainly didn't, and it worked quite well in Twilight Princess. I don't think they're running out of ideas, they're just going with the ideas they think would work best for the game, and we can't really judge these concepts until we play and beat the game; then we can determine if the 'idea' was a good choice or a bad one.

Now, about the hype; I couldn't agree with you more, Nintendo has done very little to show this game to people. Assuming a November or December release, however, they still have some time to do this, and maybe a limited edition DS Lite / DSi bundle for Black Friday could happen (we had special DS bundles for the last two Black Fridays).

Rumor: BlackBerry Storm 2 to hit VZW in November

Remember last year when everyone was stoked about the new touchscreen BlackBerry called the Storm? Oh man, the hype was huge. There was iPhone-ish lines, media coverage, the works. But then the first reviews came out and we all realized the truth: the phone sucked. It’s now a lot better thank to firmware updates, but the upcoming BlackBerry Storm 2 will hopefully recapture some of the original anticipation.
The BlackBerry Zone is reporting that Verizon will launch the BlackBerry Storm 2 around Black Friday in November. Also, Vodafone in the UK will release it in October which hopefully means if there are any issues, RIM will quickly work them out before launching the phone in here. WiFi and OS 5.0 is expected to be featured in the second Storm, and yes, the SurePress screen will be there too. (I like the clicky screen btw) Now, the only question left is what price point the phone will launch at: $99 or $199.

Nintendo announced a while back that they will be releasing a black colored Wii, but now we know it will not come to the United States. What the heck Nintendo? The Wii looks good in glossy white, but we’d like to have some color thrown in once in a while too! The Nintendo Wii motion control consoles have sold extremely well here in the US, people lined up just to get the Wii Fit. But we don’t get anymore Wii love from Nintendo, only Japanese gamers will get a chance to enjoy the new Black Wii. This seems like a missed opportunity for Nintendo, even in this slow economy people still like to buy video games. This is millions of dollars Nintendo will miss out on

I think that we have finally decided as a family that we want to get a Wii. Yeah, we are always a couple years behind the trends....but I am hoping against hope that someone will have an awesome BF deal on them. A bundle would be great so that we don't have to buy as many separate accessories...

If you want a wii for Xmas, I would buy it as soon as you see it.

Typically there's never a deal [cheaper price] but just cool bundles....get the wii now. Closer we get to Christmas, lower the stock will be.

We are also looking for a Wii for XMas this year and with my research it is doubtful that Wii itself will go on sale. What they do is bundle it with accessories however if you price the accessories/games it comes with you'll find you're not paying any less. Except there is currently a Wii Bundle at Walmart online that is the Wii with a free game for $250. We'd get it but we're not interested in any of the free games so we're gonna wait a little more. Actually Walmart online has several bundles right now you may be interested in.
