I will definitely be picking up a scale to do the weekly weigh-ins. One of my starting steps is to stop avoiding the reality of how much I do have to lose to get back to a weight I'm comfortable with.

That is a great starting step! We also talk about other ways to measure success besides the scale.

Please include me, this is perfect timing for me. I just hit the 40 lb down :banana:mark 2 days ago. I have doing Nutrisystem since 3/23 and finish a Biggest Loser challenge on their boards next Monday. I did not want to start their next challenge because I was going to be gone to WDW for 12 days and would miss a weigh-in, which would disqualify me.

I am going to WDW for the F&W and I already know I'm going to gain 10 lbs.:confused3 Knowing I'm doing this challenge will help motivate me to exersize while at WDW and to get back on track when I return. I have about 30lbs. left to lose, so I need to keep on trucking.

Also, I work retail and we will be during our holiday season for this challenge, so there will be alot of stress and I am a stress eater.

Whew, now you know way too much about me.:lmao::lmao:

Congratulations on your 40 pound loss! That is super!

I am in!!! My little one will be 1 year old on 9/27 and I tink it is time to lose all that extra "baby weight" :rolleyes1. I am looking to lose 40-50 lbs and get back to looking like I did when I got pregnant. 2 1/2 years ago hubby and I lost about 80 lbs each with Nutrisystem and a lot of help walking (I was training for the 3-Day walk and hubby trained with me).

I know how important it is to lose with "friends". To hear everone struggle at points but pull through those slow times with success.

I too will be consuming those "cruise calories" on the 11/29 Wonder :dance3:.

I am excited to have the DIS community be awsome supporters and hope to see all of us a little bit smaller :cheer2::woohoo::cool1::thumbsup2

BTW is there a logo for BL8 yet? I would love to include it in my signature!

Welcome! A fall cruise sounds like fun. I am looking forward to hearing about the cruises from all of you cruisers -- that is one thing I haven't done, yet.

We will have a clippie for BL8 but not for a week or two as our clippie maker is at DL and just finished the DL marathon and getting her C2C medal! Congratulations, corinnak!

In the meantime, you can use the summer clippie or another challenge clippie if you would like.

Alright, let's try this again. Sign me up and "go team".

November 26 this year.

Alright, I am up for the challenge...and maybe it really will help me stay on plan on Turkey day!

Well, for me Thanksgiving is Mon, Oct 12th, but I'm sure that's not the one you were asking about ;):lmao::lmao:
!

LOL~ I'm glad I don't have to do both Thanksgivings....:scared1:

I see you'll be coaching through thanksgiving, and I'll start that friday morning. I won't be able to get up and eat pumpkin pie for breakfast if I'm coaching here, so that will definitely be motivating.

Here's to us all losing hundreds of pounds!!:cheer2:

I agree, I think we have the edge due to coaching those weeks!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I am off to drink some water...anyone want to join me? :woohoo:

Sarah

"Also, I work retail and we will be during our holiday season for this challenge, so there will be alot of stress and I am a stress eater.":flower1:

Hey Susan - I am also a stress eater, but then I am also a happy, bored, sad, and celebration eater. Oh, and grazing is also in my history. I started WW 5 weeks ago and so far so good. At least I am consciously eating now. A big step for me!:flower1:

woo hoo - sign me up!!:cool1: Please put me on a "loser" team. I'm so glad you're doing this again! :worship: Darn it though, now I feel like I have to get off the computer and go for that walk...:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao: I guess that is true for me too.

I think this thread was made for me, Sept 11 is this week and we leave for WDW on Dec 18, perfect timing!
So sign me up!! I hope to stick with it this time but I may not be able to check in every day or week, lots going on with 4 kids! LOL

OK...I'm in. I've never done something like this before, but I know the power that having supportive people can have on weight loss. Go here goes!

Please count me in too. I am a Weight Watchers lifetimer. Presently, I am 10 lbs. over my goal weight. I need to get it off. Clothes are a bit too tight!

There is nothing worse that waiting in line for a great roller coaster for hours only to find out that you don't fit on the ride. That was a sad, sad day for me. I love thrill rides but have almost stopped going to amusement parks because I am afraid I won't fit on the rides and I can't face that embarrassment again. I am glad this came along because I am looking for something free. I have tried weight watcher, a nutritionist, and thought about Alli, but everything is so expensive. I have got about 130 lbs to lose but I will take what I can get. I am excited and pumped. I need to look if there is a class at the gym to go to tomorrow.

Missy

Please count me in on the losers team!!:thumbsup2 I want (NEED) to lose 50 pounds and can use all the encouragement and help I can get!!

I'm in. I have participated in these challenges before. I lost a bunch of weight.
I ended up breaking my foot, and was in a boot and was supposed to be non-weight bearing for about 3 months last year. This threw me for a total loop. I ended up gaining back most of what I lost. Now I need to get off even more weight to get to my goal. I know that I can do it, I have done it before.

:welcome:
Its exciting to see how many people are joining up! Its going to be a great challenge!:cool1:

I would like to join this challenge too!! I sort of took a weight loss hiatus over the summer :rolleyes1 so I am ready to get back on track!!

I'm definitely interested in this as well. I've not had a good track record with commiting. I usually start off really good for about a month and then fall back into bad habits. I really need to find the motivation and keep it going. I'm in the loser category and have about *gulp* 120 pounds to lose.

Count me in! I'm ready!

Welcome, America!

Alright, let's try this again. Sign me up and "go team".

Dave

Welcome, Dave! Port Orchard is a nice place -- my Mom has a place in Gig Harbor and I've been there often.

woo hoo - sign me up!!:cool1: Please put me on a "loser" team. I'm so glad you're doing this again! :worship: Darn it though, now I feel like I have to get off the computer and go for that walk...:rotfl2:

Welcome, jennz! Well, a walk can't hurt . . . ;)

A lot of us are grazers. Isn't it amazing how things change when you realize what you are doing? Our biggest loser for summer, sahbushka, says that she eats a little something every few hours or so. It's a habit a lot of successful people have!

Welcome, BernardandMissBianca! That is one of the nice things about the challenge. Participation in the thread is optional but it is a lot of fun. Even just the accountability of a weekly weigh in goes a long ways to keeping you on the straight and narrow! We are leaving for WDW on 12/18, too. :santa:

OK...I'm in. I've never done something like this before, but I know the power that having supportive people can have on weight loss. Go here goes!

Welcome, hannah's dad! You are joining a great group of folks!

Please count me in too. I am a Weight Watchers lifetimer. Presently, I am 10 lbs. over my goal weight. I need to get it off. Clothes are a bit too tight!

Welcome, IceSk8ersMom! Congratulations on being a WW lifetimer!

I'd like to join! Losers team please!

Welcome, basketlacey!

, Missy. That was a tough day. A lot of us have a lot to lose -- I just got down to double digits to go this year so you can do it. I found it was helpful to break things down into small goals, lose 5%, lose 10 pounds, etc. One step at a time!

Please count me in on the losers team!!:thumbsup2 I want (NEED) to lose 50 pounds and can use all the encouragement and help I can get!!

Welcome, Kaler! You've come to the right place!

Welcome, ReAnSt! Bummer about the injury. This challenge can help you get back on track. :goodvibes

I would like to join this challenge too!! I sort of took a weight loss hiatus over the summer :rolleyes1 so I am ready to get back on track!!

Welcome, Kitten! Those long hot summers can really derail your best laid plans.

I'm definitely interested in this as well. I've not had a good track record with commiting. I usually start off really good for about a month and then fall back into bad habits. Welcome, Desiree! I know that you can do it!

Welcome to all our newcomers and returning participants! We're so happy to have you joining us!

This is the first day of school so I will update the participant list tonight. In the meantime, here is a QOTD for you all:

Tell us a little about yourself and your goals for this challenge.

Have a great, OP day all!

Hi! My name is Lauren from NYC. I love working out at home especially to jillian michael dvd and beachbody dvds.

I have 2 mini goals during this challenge one my girlfriends wedding 10/17 and the ultimate goal being our disney trip on 12/9

I am the ultimate yo yo dieter trying to lose my all or nothing attitude..I am one of those rare people who actually loves to work out..just got to get the eating thing straight

I would like to lose 15 pounds by 12/9....looking forward to getting to meet everyone!

I'm Angie. I just started exercising and journaling pretty regularly. My goal is to lose about 10 lbs. I did the summer BL and lost a few pounds, but I think that I took care of gaining that back over this past weekend. So I am ready to get back on track.

I am doing a DCL in Feb. and the Expedition Everest Challenge next year, so I want to get to my goal weight and see how long I can maintain it. Plus I really need to get into shape in order to be able to finish the EEC.
