I would love to join the challenge as a "Maintainer" as I lost 50 lbs over the last two years...however, the hard part for me is keeping it off and I've gained 12 of it back -- so please add me to the "Loser" team. Thanks so much for doing this as I definitely need some motivation to get back to my low point!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for posting this on the podcast page. This is what I need. I need to be accountable to someone other than myself. Sadly, my friends are not really interested in weight loss, but I need to do something with myself. Please add me to the loser list. I will be on a cruise from Sept 20-27, and will not be able to check in, but other than that, I will be there.

I know that cruise calories are not supposed to count, but unfortunately, my clothes don't know the rules. Here's hoping! :rolleyes:

A little about me....31 yo, 2 children (ages 1 and 4) and dh also trying to lose weight. I work insane amounts of hours. I will be in DL for part of this challenge (sept 16-21!!!! sooooo excited!). Does anyone know when thanksgiving is this year? I think I might be coaching over it :scared1:. Maybe that will help keep me on track! Let's hope!

I was in the summer challenge and had quite a bit of success! I am ready to rock this next one with all of you!

Funny part - I have a lot to lose, but have set a weight loss goal before our next WDW trip which is 12/11-19. So, on the last weigh in day I will be partying with the Mouse. To get to the PM section, in the top menu bar on the right, just click on "Quick Links" and down near the bottom of the list is "Private Messages". If you need any more help just post again, and one of us will give you more instructions. :goodvibes

Here in the US Thanksgiving is Thursday Nov 26th

I am in charge of COW and I also want to welcome all those who have come to particiapate in the BL8.. Many people had greatr success this summer. I am not one of them but it did keep me on track with my eating while I couldn't exercise due to foot surgery. I am raring to go to make this my best challenge ever. Good luck everyone.
 
Good morning fellow losers!!:) Looks like we've got a good group forming, ready to lose some weight once and for all. I stuck out the summer challenge, but with lots of personal stuff going on, ended with a gain, but I know it would have been worse had I not stuck it out. I'm also ready to lose some weight this fall!!

I see you'll be coaching through thanksgiving, and I'll start that friday morning. I won't be able to get up and eat pumpkin pie for breakfast if I'm coaching here, so that will definitely be motivating.

Here's to us all losing hundreds of pounds!!:cheer2:
 
Wow! I am so happy to see all these folks joining us! :goodvibes It is always a great challenge when you have a good mix of old and new members.

I'm another one looking for some help staying motivated and hoping to get a strong start with the kids going back to school on Tuesday. I've been working on losing weight off and on for the last decade, in between pregnancies, but with turning 30 it has been more on than off lately and I'm more determined to make some healthy changes. I can't even say at the moment how much I have to lose, because I don't own a scale :eek:, but I do know that it is plenty!

Welcome, Colleen27! It takes a few steps at a time to get to your goal. You don't technically have to weigh in to participate in our challenge, but I can tell you the accountability of a weekly weigh-in is a great motivator!

It's so nice to see all these new faces. Our nephew can through for a night with a friend on a road trip so we've been enjoying their visit and I haven't had a chance to update the list.

If you click on a poster's name off to the left (it is underlined), the drop down menu will give you the option to "send a private message to xxx" (or something like that...).
 
I am in!!! My little one will be 1 year old on 9/27 and I tink it is time to lose all that extra "baby weight" :rolleyes1. I am looking to lose 40-50 lbs and get back to looking like I did when I got pregnant. 2 1/2 years ago hubby and I lost about 80 lbs each with Nutrisystem and a lot of help walking (I was training for the 3-Day walk and hubby trained with me).

I know how important it is to lose with "friends". To hear everone struggle at points but pull through those slow times with success.

I too will be consuming those "cruise calories" on the 11/29 Wonder :dance3:.

I am excited to have the DIS community be awsome supporters and hope to see all of us a little bit smaller :cheer2::woohoo::cool1::thumbsup2

BTW is there a logo for BL8 yet? I would love to include it in my signature!
 
Please include me, this is perfect timing for me. I just hit the 40 lb down :banana::banana:mark 2 days ago. I have doing Nutrisystem since 3/23 and finish a Biggest Loser challenge on their boards next Monday. I did not want to start their next challenge because I was going to be gone to WDW for 12 days and would miss a weigh-in, which would disqualify me.

I am going to WDW for the F&W and I already know I'm going to gain 10 lbs.:confused3 Knowing I'm doing this challenge will help motivate me to exersize while at WDW and to get back on track when I return. I have about 30lbs. left to lose, so I need to keep on trucking.

Also, I work retail and we will be during our holiday season for this challenge, so there will be alot of stress and I am a stress eater.

Whew, now you know way too much about me.:lmao::lmao:

I will definitely be picking up a scale to do the weekly weigh-ins. One of my starting steps is to stop avoiding the reality of how much I do have to lose to get back to a weight I'm comfortable with.
