I know I answered above that I almost always do just wrapping, but that was until this week. Stuff happened, and here we were on Christmas Eve with no wrapping even started, and it wasn't looking good for the evening. I went to Dollar Tree at 5pm and bought a bunch of bags. It just had to happen this way, this year- about 75% of the presents DH and I have for each other re in bags this year, and it was 1am by the time we finished wrapping for each other; we'll worry about the rest of the stuff for DD/SIL/LittleGuy in the morning, as we don't have to be to their house until around 2pm.

Mostly wrapping paper, which for some reason I/we feel compelled to buy every year even though we still have endless TONS. That wrapping paper bin is like a time capsule - I can look at some of the paper and remember distinctly what special gifts got wrapped in it from Christmases gone by. Trimmings are a different story though and I rarely ever think to buy ribbons and bows. I'm often caught out trying to rig up something aesthetic out of kitchen twine, garland and small ornaments or other random craft supplies when I'm wrapping. :o

I've never really gotten into gift bags. If a gift doesn't already come in a box, I'll scrounge one from something around the house to put it in to make wrapping with paper easier. What I find bags best for is little, tiny things that wouldn't look right wrapped in paper. I virtually never re-use them because they tend to stay with the recipient

We have very few gifts to wrap - only those for grandson. DH enjoys the wrapping experience, so he does it. I bought DH a book this year and gave it to him in the Ama-zon box! I'm somewhat Grinchy in that I don't think the main focus of Christmas should be on getting stuff.
