Best Travel agents....again

I thought this could use a bump so that it can help others with travel planning.

I did all the work myself (and SHE gets paid!). I had to call them myself 3 days after the discounts came out to ask if they would apply it for me AND they are charging me an arbitrary fee for it!!!

I wont deal with a TA again. My trust has been broken.

Last year I did all of the work myself and got some good discounts, BUT, for our next trip in 12/06, I've already booked through Lori at Magical Memories. I had Emailed 3 different agencies to find out info and out of the responses I got back, her response "clicked" for me. She was very friendly, knowledgable, and I just had an overall good feeling about booking through her. The rate I booked through her is already less than the rate I was quoted directly from Disney!

I'm looking forward to this time next year when the real planning is going on!!

I'm currently using Dawn at Magical Memories Travel to book my May '06 graduation trip (and first ever family vacation)! She has been fabulous - great service and prices! Plus, if you book a 5+ night stay with them, you get a free Tour Guide Mike membership!

me too for Dawn at Magical memories. She just did the vacation that I just came back from and the one that we are taking for a vacation trip for next August. She answers any question quickly and enthusiastically.

Check out the Codes and Rates threads-MANY people are upset with their AAA agent!

As I said in an earlier post:

"it is not the rate you start with that counts, it is the rate that you end at"

If you feel you could trust again, go with one the the Earmarked Online Agencies-Dreams, Magical Journeys or Small World. What a difference!

I used Small World Vacations and they have been great. My TA is Missy. She got me the new discount with no problems even though I had already paid in full.

I contacted Dreams Unlimited by e-mail and they came back with a quote and I asked if that was my AAA rate and she responded no, I had to work with a AAA agent to get that discount!

If it is for a regular package then only AAA can offer you a AAA discount. If it is room only Dreams (or any other TA) can book that for you.

If you are referring to the new package discounts, it is my understanding that the AAA rate for the new discounted package is the same as any other TA booking the discounted code. I was told that there was no additional discount on top of the promotional offer Disney has now (no matter which code was used.) This may not be the case, but from what I have been reading here the discounts have been the same.

She is been extememly friendly and considerate. Very quick in responding and incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgable! We booked through one of their group rates for this December, we have a quick w/e trip for MNSSHP this month... she has been wonderful!

Another vote for DU both Cathy and Barbara went the extra mile to make a magical vacation a dream come true. All my ADR's (including my many changes) were taken care of and yes we got CRT too. One special little touch was that Barbara sent my girls messages in the mail from Mickey and "Cindy". Also one of my dd's was celebrating a B-day while we were there and when we arrived at CRT the table was all decorated thanks to our TA calling ahead. I'd book again with DU in a heartbeat.

I'm working with Lori at Magical Memories Travel. She's been great so far! She got us great prices and is really "in the know". We decided at the last minute to book a trip. We'll be there in less than 6 weeks!

My TA, Tracy, from Small World Travel has been great! She answered all of my endless questions. When the new discount came out she emailed me at 7:30 AM that she had adjusted our reservation and I received a confirmation in the mail 2 days later. She secured all of our ADR's on the days and times requested and also booked our Illuminations Cruise. She's the best!
