Which is the best Character All You Can Eat Buffet Breakfast?

Please include the characters & if any extras are offered. thanks chocolateMinnie & TFNM

thanks!

Oh, and what is the best time for dinning early (8am-9am) or mid-morning (10-11am)?

For our family it is a tie between Akershus and Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace has good choice, omelettes are good and made to order but if you are not there early the queue is horrendous. Great choice of hot and cold breakfast buffets plus mickey waffles etc and some of the best coffee at WDW.

Akershus is a buffet starter of fruit, pastries, cooked meats and fish followed by a family style cooked breakfast which includes the most wonderful potato casserole.

Winnie the Pooh and friends at CP (plus we like to be early into MK) and Princesses at Akershus (photo package included.)

My personal favorite is Cape May at the Beach Club Resort. They have the typical breakfast items plus delicious breakfast pizzas. The characters are Minnie, Donald, and Goofy...dressed in their beach clothing. The character interaction has always been great.

We love Cape May....it's a fav for dinner as well. It seems to be a little quieter and has a very relaxed atmosphere. We have always had excellent service there and love to start our vacation with a trip to the BC.

We also really enjoy Ohana...even though it's not a buffet it is all you can eat and the food is good. We though it was nice to have the meal served.

Tusker House at AK. Features Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy. Your picture with Donald is taken outside before you enter, the other 3 circulate while you eat.

Food = huge buffet! Everything was hot, fresh, and remained full (replenished) while we were there. Never really a line to get food since the buffet is very spread out and there are multiple stations for most hot items.
Copied from wdw.info
Breakfast Buffet - Breakfast Selections: Assorted cream cheeses, jams, jellies and fruit chutneys, yogurt station, fresh fruit, milk, waffle station, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, potato wedges, cereal, biscuits & gravy, veggie frittata, Ham & cheese frittata, corned beef hash, cheese blintzes, beef Bobotie quiche, yam casserole, carved rotisserie honey ham, oatmeal, porridge, cinnamon rolls, assorted muffins and breads, turnovers, danish, and croissants

For me it would be btwn Tusker House and Askerhus.

I know Askerhus is not a traditional buffet since the entree (eggs, bacon, sausage and yummy potatoes) is served family style, but you can get more plates brought to your table, and the cold buffet is wonderful. The princess interaction here is great so you can get a lot of autographs out of the way, and the photo is included! We have had Belle as greeter, Jasmine, Snow, Aurora, Cinderella once and the next time was the same except Ariel instead of Jasmine.

Tusker House has great food (and yummy juice) and it is a fun atmosphere. Goofy led the kids in a little parade the day we were there. Daisy, Donald, Mickey, Goofy. The photo is an extra charge.

IMO early bfast is better because once I get in the park touring mindset I don't want to stop mid morning for a meal. Also, depending on park opening time, being in the park right at opening is an advantage in itself.

We prefer Chef Mickey. Great food and no rush with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip,Dale, and Donald.

My kids are a little pickier but girls loved Akershus.

Another vote here for Tusker House. Nice restaurant, fun character interaction and surprisingly tasty food. Of all the character buffets, the food at Tusker House separates itself from the pack of mediocrity.

We love Crystal Palace....mmm breakfast lasagna (a sweet option). We had plenty of time with Pooh and friends and found from experience that early reservations were best as when we had a 10am ressie we waited ages to be seated - almost an hour beyond our ressie time.

Liberty Tree Tavern. I never thought I would like the Crystal Palace to be closed on my trips but that's what it takes for LTT to do the character meals.

The food is great and served to your table so you don't need to get up. I also like that the dining rooms are semi seperate so it's a little more personal when the characters get to your table.

Liberty Tree Tavern discontinued its character meal Jan. 5, 2009. Dinner is still served family style, but there are no characters present.

Another vote for Crystal Palace here..........we do breakfast there every trip. I also really enjoy Askershus though.

Yes, that was the PP's point. When Crystal Palace is closed, LTT still has characters. The PP is saying that when LTT has characters, it is the best character meal.

Wow I didn't realize Tuskers would be so popular. I haven't seen Akershus on WDW website so I have to check both of those out.
Keep it coming, I'm taking notes. :thumbsup2

Sorry! I reread the original post and realized I misunderstood it! Thanks for the clarification!

We have done CRT, Chef Mickey and Akershus and we like them all (in fact have done all multiple times each) but our favorite that we do EVERY trip is......AKERSHUS! Cant get enough of that potato Casserole

Do I have to utilize a park admission if I have breakfast reservations? If so my choices will be limited to the resorts (Cape May, Tuskers, 1900Park, Chef Mickeys), since I won't have hoppers. No one has mentioned 1900 Park Fare, how is that one?
