Did you guys see the 80 pt BCV that just listed for $88 per point...it sold in about an hour...so, I can only guess it went for $88. It was a GREAT contract!! I wish I could've afforded to buy it!!!

Congrats to whoever bought it!!!

Okay, I'm feeling much better about the BCV points I bought at $70/pt!!! ;)

I'd be interested in knowing what the terms of the sale ended up being (call me nosy!). If it went for $88/point, and the buyer paid the closing costs, my calculations put the final price at around $93/point!

With full current, and full '03 points...I'd take that!!! I just need more money!!!

ROFL...see, my cheap gene kicked in, what can I say.

I just called TTSS and yes it went foir $88.00

and new rumor!

For the first time Disney *MAY* charge differrent prices for differrent resorts.

$89 pp for OKW/HH/VB

$94 pp BWV/BCV/VWL at this price point, SSR must go up too!

Per my inside source at TTSS from an inside Disney source (Guide)

To be fair, this doesn't make sense to me, I would expect them all to go for $94 pp, but then again, no one asked me!

Someone posted that same info here about 2 weeks ago, which begs the question of whether there really is a DVC source or if DIS rumors are just coming full circle. :) :scratchin

For what it's worth, the rumor sounds reasonable to me. There doesn't seem to be nearly as much demand for OKW, HHI and VB as the other resorts.

I have been told that Disney is selling BWL/BCV/OKW for $89 per point. I am in the process of purchasing new SSR at $85 per point and was told to call back no later than tomorrow. The guide also said at this point to buy has much as I can at 85. He would not elaborate other than to say things are changing. I wonder if these guys are pulling our chain.

They are masters at marketing...but, FWIW...I think prices are going up. How else could DVC "suddenly" be able to buy back properties at $5-6 dollars higher than a few weeks ago?

As far as SSR points go, I came right out and asked my guide & she told me that they definately were going up on April 1st, but she could not tell me the price.

I saw that contract on the TTS and saw the "sale pending" and I got a lump in my throat!!! Booooo Hooooo!!!!! If Disney exercises ROFR on that I will pass out!!!

I was told by Disney that when it comes to BCV they will exercise their ROFR on most of the resales they see at this time. The person told me that as long as there is a waitlist and they can sell them at above $89 per point Disney will exercise their ROFR.

$88 BVC resale? This is nuts :rotfl:
I'm glad we bought into DVC when we did but all this price hike talk is just blowing me away. Mind you, we only purchased 7 months ago @ $68/pt. All I can say is, I SHOULD'VE BOUGHT MORE

There is a new listing on TUG for BCV. The listing is 300 points at $90 per point. The prices just seem to be continuously climbing.

Do you need to be a member with TUG to view the listings for resale?

This is what I'm talking about, NUTS I TELL YOU :rolleyes1
For $90, I'd buy SSR. There is no way to justify paying $90 for a BCV resale when you can buy SSR from Disney @ $85 and 12 additional years.

Silos,

You do not need a membership to view the classifieds at TUG.

Tamu 91 - I understand what you are saying. This is getting out of control. That being said, if you want the 11 month window at BCV what choice do you have. Though I know I am not that desperate to stay at BCV.

I am actually waiting for a small add-on to come available at the BWV. I figuring I will have to pay at least $80.

Perhaps if a price increase goes through, as is being reported on these boards, then perhaps prices will stabilize a bit.

Appearantly somebody thinks there is.

Stitch 03,

Are you looking at $80 per point, plus you are paying costs? Just curious because I am looking to submit an offer on a contract tonight that is listed lower than $80, but if you add in my costs, then it is about $81. I figure I will try and get past ROFR by offering $81, plus current years dues reimbursement. Anyone think I have a shot and creeping past ROFR? Oh I forgot to mention that all of last years points were banked and I will be getting those too!!

5infam,

Believe me, I am the last on who should be giving advice as to what will get past ROFR. However, in my situation I will not take any chances. I think alot will depend on what the size of the contract is. I am looking for about 50 points. These do not come around often so tend to come at a higher price. I also would not want to take a chance at losing to ROFR.

On the DVC community board there is a useful post regarding what is going on with ROFR currently (sorry I am terrible with links). It appears that for all resorts such as BWV & VWL, high 70s should do the trick. BCV, is another matter, as it appears Disney is taking alot of these.

The questions I would ask myself, if I were in you situation, is how badly do I want this specific contract. If you are comfortable with the thought you may lose it, knowing you can get a similar contract fairly quickly, then go with your current offer price.

Again, I am no expert. All my info comes from what I am seeing on other postings. I do suggest you look at some of the other posting on these boards.

i do not think it will get past ROFR
with all 2003,2004&2005 points

but I am usually wrong!!
