BCV resale $88 per point!!

I am! I admit it. But I am one of those people willing to pay for the BCV. I just got on the waiting list with the major resellers and I expect to pay top dollar. But BCV is where we decided we want to stay! And although SSR will last an extra twelve years, who knows what will be going on 40-50 years from now. DW and I decided that it is better to purchase what we want now then to regret it later. I can't imagine SSR will ever be hard to reserve as big as it is, while BCV will only get more and more exclusive. Therefore, it's worth it to us to spend the money and get what we want rather than take the advantages of SSR from Disney and not be able to book BCV when we want. It might not be the smartest choice, but I don't think I'll regret it.

Did you contact DVC directly to see if they have BCV??? If this is your first contract, and arn't picky about Use Year, who knows, I would be forceful with your guide, explain what you want, and maybe they will have it. If you don't have a guide, we have used Julie Hughes and she is awsome I think she has been with DVC since day one, really helpful and not a hard seller.

Im hearing that the BC has a very long wait list... I know. I'm on it for an add on.

No..there aren't any direct DVC BC sales going on. An ROFR'd contract is the only way....

Even if they change the booking window to 11/10, those of us fanatics who call day by day at 11 months are STILL going to want the home resort advantage. We will always be happy that we have BCV and VWL contracts. Also, smaller resorts will always be "in demand", there are just so many points to go around.

Maybe DVC will soon be divided into classes - Those who own BCV and those who do not. When we all walk by the BCV, we can sigh and wish we were one of those rich folk DVCers . Not the commoners we are, stuck at BWV, OKW or one of the other have not resorts.

Makes me glad I bought when they first opened. That way I get the "glory" at a lower cost LOL!

Also got in on BCV when it opened, and ended up paying less per point than we did for our original VWL contract! ($70 vs $75) Only regret is not getting more points right then! Because there is NO way I'll be talking the DW into more points at $90 a pop!
