Another Disney trip for the books. We got sick last year and this was our do-over trip. I'm sad to say my son has a fever at the moment but we were able to finish the entire trip.

We got sick on day 3 of 10 last year which was miserable. Our strategy this time was to do a split stay. A resort only stint at Riverside and switch to Pop Century for our 4 park days.

Riverside went off without a hitch. We got to spend a lot of time at their wonderful pool and enjoy the french quarter dining! We also got the exact room we wanted!

We ate at Chef Art Smith which is amazing especially for our son that has a nut allergy. Absolutely bliss.

Cut to Pop century. We requested a first floor room and got fourth. Okay not a problem. But the building was very far away from the parking lot so lugging our stuff from the car was brutal. I don't know how to do it different next time but that was difficult for us.

Loved the skyliner. We were spoiled with pool time at Riverside so pop century was all business.

We got to experience Tiana twice! We missed our Hollywood day last year so we got a really nice first day there. Perfect actually. We got on everything we wanted and stayed for fantasmic!

Very sad that our son got sick again but grateful it wasn't right in the middle of our trip like last time. I think this might be our last trip. I hope our son doesn't get any sicker though. His fever started late last night and we were at animal kingdom that day where a lot more people seemed sick than the other parks. I hope we don't get an onslaught.

We made it to the end though and our son is in good spirits for now. Praying he'll recover faster.

At least Madame Leota didn't conjure up a spell of sickness DURING the visit... but in all due respects, hope he gets better!

I'll be doing my Disney duty next month in EPCOT, AK and hopefully if I can dissuade my party out of Epic, MK.
