We just switched to a 1 BR at BCV instead of a studio at SSR for our trip in three weeks. I had been checking out all the info about SSR, now I need to start looking into BCV!

Having never stayed there before, I have a few questions: Is there somewhere at BC to buy groceries? Are there any room requests I should make to try to get a room with a good view? Are towels available at Stormalong Bay?

I think that's it for now - I'm sure I'll think of something else later!

You pretty much have a choice of Epcot, Woods, or Pool view. At this late date I wouldn't worry too much about which view you have, and nothing is guaranteed. You might want to put in a request for smoking VS. non if you have a preference. BC does have a small store with groceries, if you need very much, I would suggest going offsite to get them, as it will cost you a lot less. Towels are available at SAB, just be sure to have your room keys with you, sometimes they ask to see them at this particular pool. Have a great trip and enjoy that 1 bedroom.

MrsM, towels are available at the pool areas. As far as requesting a room with a certain view, the least requests you make the better chance of getting something you want and not being disappointed. I would suggest that you make what is really important to you. For example, non smoking, top floor or quiet area. I have requested in the past non smoking for asthma, top floor and Epcot view at the 11th month mark. The only request that was accomodated was the non smoking. From now on, I am only asking for non smoking and high floor and hope I get it. That is just my two cents worth on that. Some grocery items can be purchased at the BCV or BWV but the price is alot higher that what you would pay at the grocery store. If you have a car, I would suggest going to the store. I know that there is a service that will do the shopping for you, not Disney, and others have liked it alot. I am sure that someone here can direct you to that site.

We are looking at Mid April 2006 (week of 4/17) we own at Vero so I can only book at the 7month window, how hard will it be to get a one bedroom?

That is a vacation week for a lot of northeastern schools. Your best bet will be a 1BR. A studio or a 2BR might be very hard to get. Call on day 1 of the 7 month window and see how things look. Call day by day if you have to.

yeah I was just checking and saw that it is easter week too. We always have "patriots day" week off. Maybe I will end up just having to go to the Poly or something, we have enough points as we are not using any this year. Do they limit the amount at the poly too?

Check out The Hess service station across from the Board Walk. They have a convience store and you might find what you need. Understand they are cheaper than resort stores.
