back from POP and WL....

I stay at Pop Century mostly to avoid DVC points on weekends. :)
I've always requested the 70s section, and I've been put everywhere,
from a view of Hourglass Lake to a view of a parking lot. It doesn't matter,
because I felt the 70s section was convenient to the food court and bus stop.

I had split a stay where I was in a courtyard view room at WL for a couple of
nights, and I loved the view, too. I was on the side where Roaring Fork is.

But, sharing a bus with the GF isn't so bad. It could be worse.

You could be at Beach Club and find yourself on the Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk bus. :earseek:
Sure, sometimes it doesn't stop at all 5 Epcot resorts, but it usually does
when you're going to Pleasure Island.

Hope that made you feel slightly better about sharing a bus with GF. :rotfl2:

Oh thank you for the reivew. I have been reading so many negative reviews about every Deluxe on site I was really wondering if we should just opt out of our trip to WDW this year. We have not gone for 6 years and have reservations for WL this December. I am still thinking about splitting a stay though. A few questions if you don't mind...
How much was your cab ride?
Did you use the magical express or a towne car service?
Did you find that the busses were shared with GF in the afternoon's?
Did you ever take the bus from WL to MK...or did you always do the boat?
Did you ever use the Villa side pool? I always wondered if the Main one is busy if just going over there would be a good idea. We are big Hot tub people and I figure in December this is more likely what we would do anyway....they have 3 hot tubs right? (2 at Main and 1 at Villa side?)

We have been to Disney World 7 times and stayed in mods or deluxes and we have never had a bad experience in any of them. Disney resorts are beautiful and service has always been great! You will not be disappointed!

Stiff--

Thanks for the great review! I am homesick for the WL! We leave in 44 days!
We have two woods view rooms booked but hoping to get courtyard upgrade- we did last year! :flower:

Great reveiw! We are going in November and can not wait! Our first time in a deluxe resort. We usually stay at a moderate. Quick question for you regarding the balconies.....we have two boys and are excited about a place to go at night while they sleep. Do all rooms have balconies and are the ones on the 4th floor open or closed? Some people have said some of the balconies you can not see out when you are sitting down.

Disney Addict-I am not the OP, but I can tell you the rooms on the 6th and 7th floors have solid walled balconies, which I find undesirable. If I were you, I would request being on the 3rd, 4th or 5th floor.

Stiff-Thanks for your review. I am considering a stay at POP and it is good to know that you liked it. Next time you go to WL, you should try WCC for breakfast...the all you can eat skillet for $9.69 is a good value. Also, the antics do not seem as obnoxious in the morning...it is a bit more peaceful . Not alot, but a little!

Yeah, I agree, the pool could be a bit bigger.

Hope you get back to the WL soon. I made the picture of the view from our room my screen saver on my puter so I can feel like I am there!

Thanks for mini- trip report! I too love WL, and we will have our first stay at the villas in less than two weeks. Can't wait!

Stiff, we have stayed in room 5077(a floor above 4077) a few times and it is our favorite location at the WL. In December, it is really neat opening the door to the lobby and seeing the Christmas tree and decorations.
