Just back from our DL trip.

Flew into LAX and took DL Resort Express bus to HOJO.

Stayed at the HOJO, building 2, 3rd floor 'Home Office Suite'. For those who don't know, this is a 'corner' room that is almost 1.5 times larger than a regular room. Only drawback is there is no balcony, just a big window. The bathroom is super large with a huge counter with two sinks (not sure if this is standard for all rooms types). It was a VERY quiet room. Because it is so big, we were able to lay out extra hotel sheets on the floor to let our 8 month old roll/semi-crawl around without bumping into anything or getting run over by anyone.

The first night they ran out of cribs, which has apparently never happened before, so my 8 month old had to sleep on the floor (she's a crib sleeper). I was too nervous about her sleeping on the bed with me because it was so high off the ground (I believe we had one of the few rooms in bldg 2 with the new bed/bedding because it was amazing). However, because of the inconvenience, our first night was on the hotel :) We did get a crib for the rest of our stay.

I know there are a lot of people who have Hojo questions on this board, so ask away if you have any :)

Wow... I hope they don't run out of cribs when we're there! That would make for a ROUGH night!!!

Very cool!

So tell us about the Disneyland Express. That's a current question on the boards, and I don't remember if you've chimed in on it yet.

I sure did, here is what I posted on the the other thread:

We just got back from your DL trip. We flew into LAX, took the Disneyland Resort Express bus and stayed at the Hojo. After the first stop at the Disneyland Hotel, where they asked for vouchers or payment (about a 10 min process), it was only about a 15 or so minute ride to the Hojo. It totally depends on how many people are on the bus and where they are staying.

We arrived on a Tuesday, so the bus wasn't packed, maybe only half full. After the DL hotel, we stopped at 2 or 3 places first.

Our 5 yr old son was impatient too, but we didn't go into the parks the first day anyways, so we didn't lose any park time b/c of the bus. We went to DT Disney and ate at the Rainforest Cafe and did some shopping.

Last night I watched the Disneyland Express bus get off the freeway at Disneyland Drive from the southbound I-5. It went to DLH first and it seems most logical to do on site hotels first then the ones like Hojos next. A sort of loop.

Hey Everyone!

We have never run out of cribs before! Ever! [And I am so sorry that your 8-month old had to go without a crib your first night!]

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that we have ordered some more cribs, and got some Pack-N-Plays in for the interim just to ensure that no one has to go without again!

Thanks for chiming in Lorealle! We will be there in just a couple of weeks and can hardly wait!!!

Did you use the pool area? We usually stay at the Candy Cane, but are considering the Hojo for a possible summer trip...a big reason being the pool area...and the price, of course.
