At what age is a bikini no longer appropriate?

Jolie - LOL, if it's any consolation, I didn't see you!

I wore a 2 piece last month at our trip to WDW to Typhoon Lagoon. That being said, I got a horrible bruise on my back from being dragged by a wave, however i'm 5'7 and 141 lbs and at 33, I still felt a little "funny" wearing a bikini.

I did have a baby a few years ago and lost about 20 pounds recently, so I felt alright in one, but I think that as long as you feel comfortable and have everything "tucked in", go for it.

BTW, I'm the one who restarted the bikini wax thread, so don't forget that when you have a bikini on!

See I'm off the opinion that if I have to tuck anything in, I'm definately better off not wearing it. :o

Jolie, LOL! That sounds like a gooooooooood story! :)

I don't know about good, but it was a wee bit embarrassing!

Glad you didn't see me, Hillbeans. I figure I've just become an anecdote in a LOT of fraternities. (And who knows where else!)

As for the bikini wax, all taken care of....

OMG - does anyone have a link to that thread about the woman going down Summit Plummet I think it was, and losing her suit.

She thought she heard God speaking from the bushes, telling her to sit down... :rotfl:

Not to mention the description of the poor guy who came down the hill after her. :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: Oh, I went and read that thread, Maleficent! It made my day! :rotfl:

I have a pretty blue one that I bought last year. I haven't been brave enough to try it on yet, this year. I'm not sure that I'd feel confident enough to wear in front of anyone but my family. Oh, and I'm older than you, Tea Please...:p :D

I borrowed the bouncing Mickey from another DISer, feel free to right click him in midbound, go to properties, copy the url ,and add it to your CP siggie too. :D

Unless you look like Demi Moore - I can honestly say I've never seen an over 40ish and said Wow she looks super in that bikini. Flame away.

OMG, I am DYING of laughter over that story that was linked. Seriously laughing so hard I am crying. :rotfl:

That thread was so funny.

With all your encouragement, I am off to the mall tomorrow. I have always been thin by nature, so I am not uncomfortable with my body (and I do not have to tuck)! But the age thing is starting to weigh on me. Well we will see.

You're never too old

I disagree!

One time while vacationing in Clearwater a woman who appeared to be in her 70's walked by us in a bikini. It's not that she was out of shape, it's just that after years and years and years of worshipping the sun, she looked like a walking prune. Nobody should be exposed to that much wrinkled sun damaged skin! :earseek:

I think if you feel good in it and people are not trying to roll you back into a large body of water you should go for it . I dont think age is a part of it all . If you look good sister let em all know it
