Quick check in....
Woke at 1:30am finally at 3:30 I gave up and went down for coffee.

4:45am left for airport.

6am flight landed early in Newark. Unfortunately the connection had a mechanical problem so we were 50 minutes late.

My magic band said I had ME for POP not CR

Had to get a page with bar code printed.

Get on ME they say, Poly, GF, WL THEN cr

So dd says " I am going to get off at Poly and take mono and meet you after I check us in at cr". Seems like a good plan. I ride with bus and luggage. Guy was so fast we met at cr same time

A guy with an iPad took my name said room not ready so we went for lunch. No text ever came (CL said people we're not getting it when should have) . We arrived 2:55 2nd time and room ready. Close to MK with awesome view of castle from dd bed

Swam at 3pm and it rained. I felt like a kid swimming in the downpour

Got ready and had 5pm apps. 530 ressie at California grill. Dd had sushi and I had mussels app. Yum

Then some FP at MK and back for desserts and view of EWP and Wishes from balcony(me) or bed (Lys)

Tomorrow breakfast at lounge then HS!!! Rr and tot then Frozen parade. 12pm at Kona Cafe then MK or swim

5pm apps then FP at HS then back for desserts again, yummy!!!!

Then wed is gf day, woohoo!! More later

I agree with you about swimming in the rain. It makes me feel like a kid that is getting away with something they aren't supposed to be doing.

Hi everyone just checking in. Arrived in Florida thurs evening. My brother arrived Saturday. We have been seeing mom, and visiting cousin & mutual friends. Our hotel is a block from the beach, so lots of beach time too.
My brother leaves tomorrow
We are here until 16 th when we leave for Orlando. It's been pretty busy so far, but think things will slow down now.
My mom is much the same as I saw her in January. Most of the time speaks gibberish, but occas says coherent things.

Sadly our cat died the day after we left. He was old, rescue so don't know quite how old, and he had kidney disease. Husband was home. He never comes to Florida. He stays home with our dogs & cats.
It helps that we've been super busy.

Looking forward to Harry Potter at universal.

Sounds like a good start, minus flight delay! I'm in Florida now, enjoying the leaving for Universal on 16th!! Nice pics!

Good morning/afternoon!

I pretty much had a sleepless night. Truthfully, all I could think about what DD having meltdowns in the middle of Main Street and having everyone watching. Incredibly irrational, right?!? She's beginning the tantrum phase and it doesn't take much for her to be upset. We've learned to ignore her and she stops pretty quickly, but I can't imagine doing that in WDW!

I assure you, even if she has a melt down, she won't be the only one - don't worry!

Do you have TiW Lacey? That honestly wins with us every time. Ever since we got that, we haven't looked back.

We do have TiW until February. We aren't renewing our APs though. We have loved the discount but TS is still really expensive. I kinda liked not thinking about it!

HOw do the girls like the bunk beds?

We kept the BWI reservation. No changing now! Still stressed slightly at the thought, but I am excited for another CL stay Just counting down now!

Oh, you can still change! I won't name any names but a certain someone on this thread (you might know her as the Queen) has been known to change as she is driving in!

I really really want to go on a cruise for my 40th which coincides with spring break. It's crazy expensive but if I give up my September trip.... Planning to talk to dh later tonight to see what he thinks.

I would love to do a Disney cruise. Would y'all spend any days at WDW after or before the cruise?

Well, I think Joey (our oldest) has found what he wants to do for the rest of his life. Since he hasn't had an AKG or MRI to clear him for football, he has been filming for the coaches. He gets close enough to the plays that the coaches threaten the players with death if they hit him. I'm assuming it's more for the protection of the iPad he's filming on that his protection. Usually before the coaches watch the film, they have to edit it some how to stabilize the shaky film. With Joey filming, they don't have to do that, and he loves doing it. My sister has a friend that I know filmed at one of the Super Bowls, but I'm not sure if he does filming or still pictures.

I was at WWOHP the first opening and can't wait to go back. Mil wants dd and I to take her but not in summer months. Maybe January!!

Beautiful!! When I finally get to stay there, I know I'll have a hard time sleeping. I'll want to stay up and just watch the castle. I wonder how funny it will look if I put a sleeping bag on the balcony and just sleep out there.

You changed your ressie to the resort that is tied for my favorite. When we first walked into the lobby, I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, my youngest son had to remind me to move. He actually had to push me toward the check-in desk.

Memory Maker - yay or nay?

I am all about MM, but I admit I'm a photo nut. DH gives me grief for all the family photos we do but it is one investment I have never regretted. I know it's not the same, but being in the military community, there's always a 'what if?' aspect of life and I have read too many stories of families wishing they took that one last set of photos together. When it comes to vacation photos, I often find I am behind the lens and not only do I end up out of photos but I watch the trip through the viewfinder... DH has ALWAYS said he would rather pay to have us all engaged v. me trying to grab the magical moments myself. We have Photopass from our first trip together in '05 (when it was brand new!), first trips with DD7, and are amped for the upcoming trips with new DD!

So sorry to hear about your cat and I have nothing but positive thoughts for your mom. I know what you are going through and I know how hard it is on everyone but am so glad you are getting this time with her. I hope your trip goes well and you can enjoy your time in Orlando!

I totally understand your inner debate!
We were back and forth about cancelling out Sep trip once ILs decided on Christmas... but after this summer we realized we won't get much of a vacation in Dec (between family and crowds) so this is our 'vacation' and December is our 'AHHHHH' trips. Still, I'd probably cancel a WDW trip for a chance at DCL in a heartbeat!!!

Not much going on this way... been helping 3 generations of family work through a stomach bug and am now falling victim to a cold from the running around. DD7 had it early last week, DH got it late last week, and somehow my mom got it over the weekend (she thinks she got it from doctor's office as she and DH weren't close to each other and mom had it before DDs and I visited). I don't mind helping out but I am BEAT!!!

I am super excited about the Frozen package! We had considered doing birthday cakes or something along those lines but this work perfectly. It's a little pricier than I'd like but my DF is watching the girls so DH and I can go to a wedding and we're picking up her admission as payment... plus DH admits the desserts and drinks will help make up the difference, and it's right up DD7's alley.

No changes though trish's TPV pics keep making me look wistfully... who knows, maybe pixie dust will sprinkle our way!

10:47 pm and still have slider door open. The sounds and views of MK this close.... Priceless


I have thought about sleeping out there. I grew up camping and would be fine. However the beds are soooo comfy that I just can't do it. Watch from bed is a better and more comfy plan!!!
