As the Ticker Turns...the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

What did you decide to do? I have been running the numbers all week trying to decide if I should switch to Free Dining. Previously, I had two nights with an AP discount and two nights with the GP discount. We don't need tickets but I would have saved them. The kids and I love being on the dining plan. Dh doesn't necessarily have a preference. I ended up keeping the room discount. I hope I don't regret it!

My biggest issue is that I haven't decided if we are taking the kids. Right now, I have two plane tickets. It was going to be adults only. But I think I want the kids to go so I booked a room big enough. But of course airfare has gone up. Decisions, decisions...

Do you have TiW Lacey? That honestly wins with us every time. Ever since we got that, we haven't looked back.

7 more days!!!!! Eeeeek!!!!

Tomorrow is packing day!!! DH is taking the girls out of the house so I can wash clothes and pack. Today we are getting our new washer and dryer delivered (after two weeks without one - ugh) and because the bambino is coming, and we only have a 3 bedroom house, the girls will be shacking up and bunk beds are being delivered today as well!!! Busy, busy, busy!!! And I have a hair appointment.

Packing tomorrow, packing tomorrow....I can do this!!!

Oh! Added an ADR....Flying Fish for a date night. We were going to skip date night this time...but we have even had one here in forever and one at Disney won't be possible for awhile until the baby is old enough for the kids clubs...and then our oldest will be too old....lol

I pretty much had a sleepless night. Truthfully, all I could think about what DD having meltdowns in the middle of Main Street and having everyone watching. Incredibly irrational, right?!? She's beginning the tantrum phase and it doesn't take much for her to be upset. We've learned to ignore her and she stops pretty quickly, but I can't imagine doing that in WDW!

I so totally laugh at the kids having melt downs

That's because I remember MY panic when MY kids did that. Just make sure to stick to your usual sleep and eating patterns as best you can. Even sitting in a stroller is tiring because they are watching everything.

I'm sweating bullets here.....I have just about an hour or so left to change my resort and keep the free dining. After tonight, I'm locked in. I can change to a non club level room at BC for about $1000 less. But I really want CL, but also want SAB and save money too....oh dear Lord. This is terrible! Poor DH says leave it alone, but, I am so tempted to change!

We kept the BWI reservation. No changing now! Still stressed slightly at the thought, but I am excited for another CL stay Just counting down now!

Yep, I used to do the same! I guess if she does it, we'll just to everyone as we find a calmer to place to get things under control. Usually she melts down if we start to ignore her (i.e not play with her) or we want her to eat. We've chosen ADR's carefully in case this happens. Oh, the joys of a toddler!

Magic Bands should be here this week. I plan on decorating mine (we're each getting two) and I've chosen a pink and red band. I will show them off if they turn out the way I intend them too!

omg is this even real?! I thought i was insane!! This is our first trip with DD who will be 19 months. I have changed our plans FOUR times and cant stop searching! I even changed our flights!! I am crazy!! Its a serious OCD!! I am so glad to see there are others out there that love to search and plan the way I do! The current drama is upgrading for 860 more to not have a split stay...or just upgrade the room only night to a better hotel for 175....or do i bite the bullet and do club level?? AHHHH!!! I want it to be the night before so the decisions will be set in stone lol!! Have fun everyone!! Love this thread!!

If it's in the budget...Club level is a nice perk. Especially with a toddler... where are you booked right now and what changes are you thinking of?

You can still change as long as there's availability. Once you book the discount, it's yours even if it's expired

When we flew to WDW, I couldn't sleep. I just kept thinking of how quickly the plane was getting me closer and closer to WDW.

My family's last trip to WDW, I probably made over a dozen changes between the dates and the resort.

We had a great weekend. Yesterday was my mom's birthday and we spent most of the day with her. She spent a lot of time explaining who all will get what of the things she has of my Grandparent's when she dies. I got to talk to my sister on the phone, but ended up talking to her mostly about the lawsuit. She had just taken her Beagle to the doggie oncologist on Friday and was told Holly has maybe four months, so I didn't want to upset her by talking about it.

Oh and I have a new idea for my girls only trip. I am still making the green hats to match the scarves, but to wear to MVMCP I am also making..

If I were going with my family, I would love to get it on our next trip. My December trip is a more low key trip. The inlaws think I'm going to DC to see my sister. My DH just doesn't feel like listening to them complain about me going on a vacation by myself with a friend, and he knows they won't complain about me going to see my sister.

Quick check in....
Woke at 1:30am finally at 3:30 I gave up and went down for coffee.

4:45am left for airport.

6am flight landed early in Newark. Unfortunately the connection had a mechanical problem so we were 50 minutes late.

My magic band said I had ME for POP not CR

Had to get a page with bar code printed.

Get on ME they say, Poly, GF, WL THEN cr

So dd says " I am going to get off at Poly and take mono and meet you after I check us in at cr". Seems like a good plan. I ride with bus and luggage. Guy was so fast we met at cr same time

A guy with an iPad took my name said room not ready so we went for lunch. No text ever came (CL said people we're not getting it when should have) . We arrived 2:55 2nd time and room ready. Close to MK with awesome view of castle from dd bed

Swam at 3pm and it rained. I felt like a kid swimming in the downpour

Got ready and had 5pm apps. 530 ressie at California grill. Dd had sushi and I had mussels app. Yum

Then some FP at MK and back for desserts and view of EWP and Wishes from balcony(me) or bed (Lys)

Tomorrow breakfast at lounge then HS!!! Rr and tot then Frozen parade. 12pm at Kona Cafe then MK or swim

5pm apps then FP at HS then back for desserts again, yummy!!!!

Then wed is gf day, woohoo!! More later
