As the Ticker Turns...the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

He wants to do BWI garden room for all 5 nights.
Since you mentioned RPC do you mean a Garden room with Club level access at the BWI?

That would be a good compromise if you don't mind making the trip outside to the main building, and go to the 4th floor to the club lounge. I would rather book a regular Resort View CL room on the 4th floor.

Yes, the the Garden room w/ club access. I just got off the phone w/ a cast member. I was hoping for a waterview cl room but there was only resort view non cl, waterview non cl, & garden room available for all 5 nights w/ our BB. We don't mind the walk to the lounge though.

For reference the BWI no longer has regular water-view CL rooms. They dropped that very limited category. They just have resort view CL where (8) of the regular rooms overlook the Boardwalk, and Crescent lake. So they are only available as a request.

We don't mind the walk to the lounge though.
Well getting a BB rate on one of the Garden rooms with CL Access is good option since they are more expensive then even a Deluxe CL room on a regular rate. They have a king bed, soaking tub, and a great shower. It just happens to be a walk-up to get to the bedroom after a long day in the parks.

I would say go for it since you don't have to do a split stay if you are able to utilize the CL offering.

Welp! The dynamic pricing of the Swan has won out, and saving $700 makes too much sense to still be crescent lake, add a day and the plus option to our tickets (since we lose the water park on check in day) and we get the Westin bed. I am sad to miss out on Yacht Club, but a girl should always have dreams! It’ll be so easy to pop in for a drink there when we want, but I’m such an Epcot fan, that king bed and balcony will be just fine for us. Thanks for all your warm thoughts.

We just got back from a split stay at OKW & Boardwalk last week.
We originally planned to not go back until December for the Holiday decor but as normal we just can't stay away LOL
We decided to take advantage of Labor day week and sneak down for 5 days. We wanted to do this as cheaply as possible since we still plan to go in December.

We booked All Star Sports because it was the cheapest available - $560 for 5 nights! A steal!
But since we plan to only visit MNSSHP and not do any other park days, we plan to spend a lot of time at the resort. Which got me thinking it could make sense to upgrade. Right now we could switch but I'm not sure:
AOA Little Mermaid is $220 more, Swan Reserve is $390 more. CSR is available for $318 more as well but we stay here all the time so I'm inclined to try something new.

We will be there Labor Day week also. We opted not to do MNSSHP this year & I'm a little sad, lol.

Before I chime in, who all is in your travel party?

Currently have POR AB fifth sleeper booked for 2/22-2/27. One day at MK and one at AK, then other two days sea world/discovery cove. It will be me, DH and DD (13). DH and I used to stay at swan and dolphin many times before and have fond memories. Looking at Swan reserve for 1,000 more total and it seems like rooms are more comfortable and posh and we do like the idea of a Greek restaurant. We do want to go to DS for dinner a few nights, though, having a GC for Morimotos and TRex (DD’s favorite restaurant). Will we be disappointed in bed comfort and room at POR? DD and DH tend to like to have down time in the afternoon in room while I take walks. TIA!

We have stayed at most resorts from GF to Pop. We love POR although the mansions are my fav section. I think the rooms are quite comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. Love hearing the boat horns and the sound of the horse carriages going by.
The pools are nice and in Feb mid day when it’s warm I’ve enjoyed the pools or hot tub. The river paths are perfect for walking. You can walk to POFQ for some beignets! Bob Jackson puts on a fun evening show at the pub!

The SR rooms are definitely more “posh” but idk if the beds are more comfortable. My last trip the bed was finally softer (maybe time helped) but prior to that I found SR’s beds rather hard. They aren’t the kind Swan/Dolphin use.

Haven’t eaten at the Greek restaurant but I would never select it because of that- you can just rideshare to SR to eat there, no ADR required. Neither of your DS options are near the SR DS bus stop, at least with POR you’d get dropped at the central Disney stop.

Usually I’m Team Swolphin but I don’t think it makes sense for you, especially with no EP or DHS days.

Yes, I think POR is the way to go. I watched some videos yesterday and the quiet pools in AB look lovely. Thank you for the insight!
