Are we there yet? Can we eat yet? YES to both!

So sorry to hear about the breakup. Boys, you know?

Ohana looks good. I have never eaten there for dinners, only breakfast. That dessert though looks great!

Awww i'm so sorry to hear about their breakup...being a teenager is never easy

I'm glad to hear you guys loved Ohana, especially the bread pudding:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear more

LOOks! and sounds yummy...we will def. have to give it a try next go round! I think dinner and breakfast might be called for...

sorry to hear about the kids! and I hate cell phones and that is just one more reason why! My dgt moved out and instead of calling once a day she texts me 20X's a day... I have to call her, She told me I am talking to you I send you text. Our society is becoming less and less personable.
:wave2: Connie
Have a great day! and enjoy the beautiful cold weather

I can't lie, I'm a texter too... However, serious conversations need to be done in person, not by a text~!

Sorry about the breakup; sometimes I think it is harder on us parents (our oldest, who will be 25 in February, broke up with his gf of over 18 months last year; he then was stupid and did it on my driveway and she came running into the house to me sobbing). You become attached to them when they are always around.

Your review of Ohana looks great.

That's exactly it. She's been here every other weekend for the last year and a half, and we'd go shopping and stuff, I feel like I'm losing a friend too... :sad1:

Just found your trip report today, and am enjoying reading it. Thanks for sharing the great photos. Ohanas sounds like a really nice meal. Looking forward to the rest of your trip. :cool1:

Welcome! Thanks for joining!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about the breakup! And over TEXT? :sad2: Ugh...Boys.

Wonderful update on Ohana though! I wasn't all that excited about our ADR there since we have ate there before, but your update made me excited about it again. I forgot about the atmosphere of the restaurant and those pot stickers....:cloud9: Even if I just eat those, I'll be good.

Not only that, but he did it while he was at work, so she couldn't call... :scared1: Stupid, stinky boys.

Oh yes, the potstickers... and peanut sauce!

We love the dressing of the salad at Ohana too. We had seconds and thirds when we visited last May. :) Soooo yummy.
I have a recipe for the dressing and I have tried it at home a couple of times with great success!

OHANA Honey Lime Salad Dressing:
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon dried mustard
1teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup diced onion
1 cup canola oil

Place all ingredients (except oil) in food processor and blend until smooth;
Slowly add oil until it is well incorporated into dressing.

Hope you enjoy it!

Oh now you've done it! I'm making it THIS weekend! ;)

I'm so glad to read another great review of Ohanas. We have reservations there next May and, after looking at your pictures, I'm even more excited.

I think we willl try the breakfast, just for something different, or maybe an earlier dinner, so we can see out? I can't belive I'm thinking of the next trip already!

Yeah. Boys. Now I'm the odd gender out again. Three against one. :lmao:

I think if I had the bread pudding, pot stickers and peanut sauce, I'd be hard pressed to go to work today!

However, I don't! So here I go! Have a great day everyone! Working on next update!

The recipe for the salad dressing sounds soooooooooo good!!!!!

Anyone got the recipe for the peanut sauce?

That peanut sauce recipe looks good - and easier than I thought! I gotta get more adventurous in my cooking....!

Well somehow I missed the TR beginning, so I just found it! Y'all haven't stopped for a breather yet! I am enjoying it but sorry about the break-up. It is like losing a friend but you can't do anything about it!

That's exactly how I feel! And now, he wants her back, and she is resisting, bc she's still hurt.

After ‘Ohana, Deshea and I decided we were wiped out, and were just going to head back to CB and go to bed. I had been feeling off since about mid-day, and was dead tired. Jacob and Chris wanted to go back to Magic Kingdom, I think it was open until 3am? We grabbed a bus back to the resort, soaked our feet and went to bed. The boys came in about 1:30am, and Chris had to wake me up to tell me a story. It seems that they were standing in line for Big Thunder Mtn for awhile, over 40 minutes he said, and someone in front of them said, “This ride better be good, for all the time we are standing here.” Jacob overheard, and came back with, “GOOD?? This ride better take me to see Jesus!” Chris said everyone around them busted up laughing; including the church group about 5 people back. I don't know where that kid comes up with his material. Anyway, Chris said they saw the castle light up, and Wishes. They showered and came to bed.

Next up: Epcot!

I really really wanted Jacob to experience Soarin’ even though Chris told him it wasn’t “all that”. :scared1:

I could hardly believe my mouse ears! I find Soarin’ to be one of the most… inventive and intense experiences in all of Disney World! Men. Sheesh. :confused3

Anywho, Chris and I were up early as usual the next day. I think this was Monday. Maybe. We went for a walk around the resort, waiting for the food court to open. I love the resort early in the morning. Were I a jogger/runner, I’d be in heaven. However, I’m more the moseying type. When the food court opened, we grabbed a blueberry muffin and bagel (snack credits), and ate them on the way back to the room. I wanted to be at rope drop at Epcot to get Fast Passes for Soarin’ and I knew the only way would be to get there EARLY.

The kids grumbled a bit, but we got them up and out.

We joined the masses at the gates for Epcot, there were people EVERYWHERE. When they dropped the rope we followed MICKEY MOUSE to the Land!

I have never seen so many people in one place in my whole life, and they all had the same plan! The crowed moved along like a huge fat snake, all the way into the Land. When we reached the FastPass machines, we had about… 11 people in front of us. The little room was filled up. I chatted with the lady behind me, she had 22 tickets to put in the machine for FP’s! I was sure glad I wasn’t BEHIND her! I think our return was about an hour later.

We headed out of there and over to see what the line was like for Test Track. It was 20 minutes, but the Single Rider was only 5, so we hopped it. We ended up riding TT 3 times in a row before the wait times got too long.

Deshea and I walked around a bit while the boys did Mission Space, 3 times! Chris was determined to be the Commander or whatever, control freak that he is.

After this it was almost time for Soarin! We went back over to the Land, and hung out inside for a few minutes, watching the F.P. Return Time board change until it was our time! We had to get to Coral Reef for 11:25, so we would be cutting it close. Even with Fast Pass we stood in line for at least 25 minutes.

It was soooo worth it. I actually tear up at the end when the fireworks go off over Disneyland. I’ve never been there and not being a flyer, probably never will! I love the flying sensation and the smells and … just the whole thing. I wish I was on it right now, instead of at work, bored to tears.:wizard:

Jacob did give it one of these… :thumbsup2

After we got off, we headed out to Coral Reef, which we were all really looking forward to…

Sorry for the lack of pics in this update, I hate photobucket. :sad2:

Jacob is too funny! (and you too, did you find the curry paste?!?)

sounds like your morning started off with a wonderful relaxing walk to start in with the massive Soarin' crowd...22 TICKETS :scared:

great start sounds fun riding TT and MS!
:wave2: Connie

I don't know what would be worse, getting behind a person who had 22 tickets to get, or getting behind someone that simply does not know how to operate the machine! :lmao:

That's awesome that you guys got to ride test track three times in a row, and got to experience soarin.

Ugh i would not have liked to be behind the women with 22 tickets..lucky you got there before she did.

Can't wait to hear more:goodvibes

Nope. Apparently no one in the TriParish area carries it. Going to have to venture into New Orleans, I think.

Oh yes, I ran into a few of those too.

I really love Test Track. One of the guys here (another Disney nut and annual visitor), was watching Test Track and Splash YouTube vids yesterday... I wanna go back!

I'm with you. MEN!!!!

Glad to hear that Jacob enjoyed Soarin' (see dad, you don't know what you are talking about).
