The next day was our designated Hollywood Studios day. I was determined to catch all the shows I wanted to see.
After starting off our day with yet ANOTHER muffin and bagel, Chris and I were at HS about an hour before rope drop. We were the first ones at the turnstiles, so we sat down, drank some coffee, and I worked on my notes. The kids were going to meet us later on, they wanted to sleep in.
As soon as the park opened, Chris headed over to RockNRollercoaster, while I got Fast Passes for RnRC for the kids to use when they got there. Right after that, he rode Tower of Terror with no wait time!
After that, we just walked around for a while, taking in the sights and sounds and smells. We did check out One Mans Dream, which never ceases to amaze me. I could look in there for hours.
About an hour later, the kids showed up and used the FPs. Then it was time to head over to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater for our early lunch!
We only waited about five minutes. But while we were sitting outside the restaurant, this kamikaze squirrel came over and was stalking us. Apparently there was an acorn or something under my foot that he REALLY wanted. Im pretty sure he nipped at my toes! Luckily I was wearing sneakers that day! I had a pic of the lil guy, but it seems to be lost. L
I dont have interior pics of this one, bc of the light, but I DO have FOOD pics!
We all ordered Strawberry Milkshakes and Burgers here.
The milkshakes were, no doubt, the best Ive had ever. I wish my local McDonalds would make them like that!
The burger was DELISH, also the best burger on property, if you ask me. Jacob ate so many burgers, but even he claimed this one the best.
Our waitress was SUPER sweet, she sat on the hood of our car while taking our order, and took a pic of us, that sadly didn't come out.
The kids didn't want dessert, so Chris got the hot fudge sundae, and I got the Chocolate Peanut Butter cake that I had seen on others reports.
Chris LOVED his sundae, and ate every bite and may have even licked the glass.
The CPB cake was good, but it wasnt warm, and would have been much improved if the cake had been warm. I might get this again, Im not sure.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I love the food, the atmosphere, the cheesy movies, the whole thing. We are definitely going back here next winter.
After we rolled our behinds out of there, we headed over to Lights! Motors! Action!. This was one of Chriss faves last trip, and he really wanted Jacob to see it.
We strolled up right in time to catch the next show! We had excellent seats, about halfway up the stands.
This my favorite pic, bc the stunt guy is in mid-fall:
We will definitely return to see this show again and again.
After the show was over, we filed out with the other hundred million people in there. Just kidding. But it felt like that many.
I wanted to see Indiana Jones, so Chris and I went that way, and the kids went to ride ToT again, and we would meet up for Fantasmic.
We got seated and we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally the show started. Ten minutes in, Jacob texted and said the line for Fantasmic was ALREADY a mile long, and that we should get there right away!
We ducked out of Indy, and headed over to Fantasmic. Jacob was NOT kidding. There must have been 10,000 people there. It was madness. They had the ropes up, herding everyone like cattle. We got in and got seated, and Im pretty sure we waited over an hour and a half for the show to start. We made multiple trips to the restroom and the snack vendors, and then played UNO until show time.
Heres a few pics I did get of the show:
Upon exiting, there were THREE TIMES as many people in line for the second show!
It occurs to me that, compared to other TRs, my pictures suck. I solemnly promise to all my readers to take a better camera and more pics next trip.
After the show, we went back to the hotel to chill. My knees and ankles were about to give up on me, and I took pity on them and soaked in the hot tub. We had dinner from the food court, which was the NASTIEST thing we ate the whole trip. I am never wasting a counter credit on Food Court food again.
After that, it was bedtime for me, and Chris watched a movie. The next day was Whispering Canyon for lunch, and Animal Kingdom day!
