I can't wait until our cruise. :yay: We were lucky and were able to get the excursions we wanted. :thumbsup2 We are flying out on Thursday and staying at the Candy Cane Inn. I want to go to Disneyland, Universal and do a sightseeing tour of LA.

I am hoping that if anyone wants to have a mini pre-Dis meet maybe we can meet somewhere for dinner on the 28th. Please let me know who is interested. :grouphug:

Bev

First of all - THANK YOU again for organizing this :worship:

I sent you an email (covering me & ibouncetoo). Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

I promised that I would post some photos of the prototypes of the charm bracelets that we will be making in some of the jewellery workshops on this cruise. I have finished the first two and thought I would share the photos:

They are likely to evolve a bit depending on what is available when I place the order for the materials, but they should give you a good idea of what to expect. I am hoping to do the Pirate and Princess versions tomorrow.

Corinna

These are beautiful!!!

I wasn't planning on doing this, but I may have to change my mind. I think the Pink one is PERFECT for the Champagne Girls!

Bev, tried to send you a PM but your mailbox is full. I will keep trying.

Sorry, I may have missed an earlier post on this. I see the list of all the people staying together at the Double Tree and other places, is anyone staying at the Crowne Plaza?

I want to be party of the pre cruise party! Hahahahaha!

Hey, not that i'm counting or anything but......112 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I'm no longer on the cruise but I still read!!! I'm gutted as these are so beautiful. I have done 2 jewellery workshops with Corinna and loved doing them and what I made. These are just gorgeous and I am sad I won't be joining in.

I am so sorry you are going to miss out on the cruise. If you wanted to arrange with Corinna to pay for whatever jewelry you are interested in making I would be more than happy to mail them to you after we get back to LA. I have a lot of experience mailing overseas, all over Europe. What she has shown us so far looks really great.

My daughter, (adult) who I am sailing with, when I asked her if she wanted to take a jewelry class asked me if I was sure by time we signed up for everything if we would have time for just relaxing on deck and reading like we love to. :rotfl: I think I need to start a master list of what we are involved in now...she may be right.:)

That is so sweet of you Judy but I really would need to be there to learn how to make them. Hopefully I will be on another cruise with Corinna someday and can learn how to do this one as it looks a lot more complicated than the items we made. Though I managed to have problems even then.

I can highly recommend Corinna's classes even for relaxation and that was the main reason for posting to recommend her group. They were a lot of fun and we had many laughs. You got to know your fellow jewellery makers too. However I do understand the danger in overdoing the activities.

Back to being a lurker!!!

oooh, sign me up! sign me up! those bracelets are wonderful!

I have added you to my spreadsheet

OMGosh! I love both of them. How can I choose??!? Now if I fall in love w/the Princess/Pirates one, I'm really going to be in trouble!

I am really pleased how they have worked out. This is something completely new for me, too. The techniques used are something very straightforward, but I have seen something similar recently for a silly price and suddenly I realized that we could do something like this for a fraction of the cost.

Sign me and my mom up, you are so awesome!!! I think I saw in an earlier post $20 for supplies?:banana::banana:

This workshop is $25. I also have a second one where we will make a bag charm, cellphone charm and keychain which will be $15. The materials we will use are genuine Swarovski crystals plus lead and nickel free Tibetan Silver/ pewter charms.

You still have another couple of months or so to sign up.

Maybe I have to take a trip to your neck of the woods at some stage. I used to go to Knaresborough quite a lot. We love the tea shop above the old chemist, but I have not been in a while. Maybe we will need to meet there at some stage and then I can bring my trusty jewellery kit.

Corinna

I have had Mexican vanilla in my cupboard for over a year....time for some fresh stuff......although I know you can make your own with vodka and a vanilla bean.......but since I have been going to Mexico on cruise port calls every couple years, I just buy it!

That's what I do and so far it has worked out. :thumbsup2

I use a bottle with my Christmas baking every year, but I got a new supply every year from one of my close friends who passed away this last year. So I need to get my supply for myself now :sad2: Have only bought it for myself twice in 30 yrs....going to be a bittersweet shopping trip.

Also.... are there openings for Palo Brunch for 2 on April 30? :bday:

Thank you!!!!!

Debbie

I remember there was someone with the same birthday. :) I wasn't even planning on doing a brunch.:confused3 My group decided to surprise me and we have it at 10:30. Maybe I will see you there.:) Either way it's going to be the best birthday so far ! :goodvibes

You must have a great Travel Agent to get this for you. :surfweb:

Yes I do Thank You Very Much !!!! :thumbsup2

Oahu: For DH I need to get one for the Arizona, if at all possible.
Big Island: Not sure yet
Maui: Haleakala or Ocean Center
Kauai: Garden Tour or Plantation Tour

You should be able to get what you want.:wizard: At least there are a couple of different Arizona tours. We are on one of them. Hope to see you there.

I have lots of great info for our voyage but I can't post it publicly. Also of course the info that is in my possession is subject to change in whim.

If you care to share feel free to send me a PM. ;)

Hope they open up some more brunch times especially if we are not able to do a group brunch.
Hope to get the early Arizona and City Tour
Hana Picnic
Canyon tour

So now I have changed my mind ;):rolleyes1

In Maui we are not doing Hana Picnic and would like to to the Iao Valley and Plantation Tour. So I sure hope DCL gets the computer fixed so we can book it!

If not, I would go with the Ocean Center one, but would prefer the Iao Valley. This way we can go to the Luau.

I am sure I will change my mind again :)

Debbie

I thought at one point someone mentioned about having a group vow renewal at some point in Hawaii. Is anyone coordinating this? If so, can you post any of the details that have been set up? We are going to be celebrating our 40th anniversary on this cruise and would so like to participate in a vow renewal.

These are both so beautiful Corinna. Please sign me up. But I can't decide.....I want to do one of each. Is that possible. I would be happy to pay for both. YEAH!!! Thank you so much for putting this together.

Me too!!! We're celebrating our 22nd anniversary.

May I beg a favor from a very kind Platinum? Would someone please look up the times for me for the following 2 excursions. I'm trying to figure out if they can both be done on Oahu.
  • Arizona Memorial & City Tour
  • Kualoa Experience: Movie Sites, Ranch Tour & Jungle Expedition
My hope is we can do the Arizona Memorial first thing in the morning, and then the Kualoa Experience later.
