I would also be interested in knowing the name of olive oil. I will be bringing bubble wrap with me and hope nothing breaks in the luggage.:scared1:

Once I had the pure vanilla I couldn't go back to that "other" stuff.:rotfl2:

I didn't notice any. :wizard:

I can only imagine how crowded it will be on the last day doing laundry. I will plan another day or late night. Now the spa thing I could be talked into. :)
Hopefully lots of folks will be off on excursions, but if not it can wait until we get to GC.
Laundry? How is it on the ship? I have only taken 3 day cruises, this is my first long cruise:lovestruc

Sporatic. There have been times I have found lines for the laundry, other times I have walked in and found a couple of washers empty. We will not be taking enough clothes for 2 weeks, so I will need to do laundry at least once.

Laundry is a chore. Chores and vacations do not mix in my world.

I don't mind doing laundry either at home on or vacation. I also cook breakfast when we are staying at DVC. I don't see either as a chore really. Of course, we are retired so everyday is vacation for us.
:cool1::woohoo:
on etsy there is a seller that sells a basic fish extender for $15.99 nothing fancy like the $40 ones on ebay or etsy but she suggests you can add your own bling and make it your own.

I love this option because I can't sew but I can glue on crystals and make it special without spending $40

Let me know if you need more info

We got one that we could decorate ourselves several years ago. I agree that is the way to go, personalize it. :thumbsup2

We will be enjoying yet another sea day at Ensenada. Perhaps the spa will have some good port day special :goodvibesand then there is always laundry and packing to be done. :sad2:

I HATE packing to leave the ship, but this time there is a bright side...we'll be heading to DL for a few days w/some wonderful people :cool1::cool1:.

It's not awful...although there is sometimes a long wait for machines (especially on sea days). Jason and I do always do laundry on our longer cruises, though, so that we don't have to pack 2 weeks worth of clothes....we wear each other's clothes anyway (same size, same gender :thumbsup2) and so we usually pack one week's worth of clothes each, wash, and switch wardrobes ;)

We have had good luck with VERY late night laundry (like 1am or later).

And you operate the machines by swiping your room key in them so no change :)

You're so lucky you can wear each other's clothes. I just tried picturing my 6'4" DH and me (5'2" woman) trading off :rotfl:. Yeah, that would be picture-worthy for sure. Or scary :rotfl2:.

I consider one of the biggest perks of my vacation is not doing laundry...we send real necessities to ship laundry to be done but I bring enough undies etc to last the whole cruise :-)
Laundry prices are not bad compared to picture costs !!

I couldn't believe my DH gave me the green light to use the ship laundry services; not sure I'll do it though. I guess I'll make up my mind when the time comes. I can't believe the cruise is coming in 3 1/2 months!!

I thought I read or heard that you could fill up a bag for a flat rate for your clothes to get cleaned ?

I got my Maui excursion. :woohoo: So if your taking the Iao Valley & Maui Tropical Plantation I will see you. If anyone is booking this I would suggest you call DCL and ask to speak to a supervisor and have them book it for you as there is still a glitch with this excursion on DCL site.

I believe it is still per piece for laundry.

See you on the excursion!!! Glad it worked out for you.:thumbsup2

Ugh, we still have 1 more week before we can book excursions .

On our TA cruise in May, they did have a "fill-a-bag" for a flat rate. It was the first time I had seen it. I believe it was $35. I decide it was worth it to me I hate doing laundry on vacation. The bag were not very big (for a family of 6), but I figured I could get most of our clothing in this bag. I crammed as much into our bag as I could get. ;) That could have been a comedy show of it's own. :rotfl: What I didn't understand about the process....was that everything was going to come back to my room in the same kind of bag! So, I ended up with clean clothes that were all :headache:WRINKLED! I then had to go to the laundry room and iron almost of our clothes. :sad2:

Oh, no! I hate ironing worse than I hate doing laundry :sad2:.

I promised that I would post some photos of the prototypes of the charm bracelets that we will be making in some of the jewellery workshops on this cruise. I have finished the first two and thought I would share the photos:

They are likely to evolve a bit depending on what is available when I place the order for the materials, but they should give you a good idea of what to expect. I am hoping to do the Pirate and Princess versions tomorrow.

Thanks for the insight ! Think I will skip this. I would rather do the laundry myself & not have to use the iron. :rolleyes1

Those are soooooo pretty Corinna ! :worship:

My eyesight has been dodgy since I was about 9. I will prep the project in a way that you can almost do it by touch only.

I will put the kits together so there is some scope for customization. However, I am somewhat restricted as what I can get material-wise. They will fit adults and children over the age of 6 as they are elasticated and the price will be the same and will be $25. I will repost all the info for the activities that I am involved in organizing tomorrow.

Usually by piece but I have been on when they offer a "bag" special for a limited time.

The laundry slip you send with it should have given you the option of folded or hanger..I usually check hanger and add a note "for everything possible". I usually get everything but underwear hanging.....NO IRONING for me ever!!
