Once I had the pure vanilla I couldn't go back to that "other" stuff.:rotfl2:

I have had Mexican vanilla in my cupboard for over a year....time for some fresh stuff......although I know you can make your own with vodka and a vanilla bean.......but since I have been going to Mexico on cruise port calls every couple years, I just buy it!

oh boy! I see I am on the Aloha Hawaiian thread all by myself! Chuck signed up for a volcano tour. don't know what day. Connie

The laundry slip you send with it should have given you the option of folded or hanger..I usually check hanger and add a note "for everything possible". I usually get everything but underwear hanging.....NO IRONING for me ever!!

This service was a different service then there normal laundry cleaning. They left a bag in your room about half way through the cruise, with a note that said everything you can fit in the bag for one price. I have done the normal laundry service before, that is why I was so shocked when my laundry it showed up the way it did. I thought it would be folded into the normal baskets, like we had experienced in the past.

I use a bottle with my Christmas baking every year, but I got a new supply every year from one of my close friends who passed away this last year. So I need to get my supply for myself now :sad2: Have only bought it for myself twice in 30 yrs....going to be a bittersweet shopping trip.

If they make that offer this time maybe we can get our cabin steward to help us get it back in good shape :) I know one of mine was very attentive about my laundry service on one of cruises......

One more week until we can book excursions!

So we have narrowed it down, and just wondering if a kind Platinum member would be so kind to let me know the times on these and if they are still available??? :worship::flower3:

Hilo - Volcano Nationl Park Odyssey & Macadamia Nut Factory— Adult Only Departure

Honolulu - Pearl Harbor VIP Military Base Tour

Maui - Hana Picnic— Adult Only Departure
Maui - Luau

Kauai - Waimea Canyon – Grand Canyon of the Pacific – Adult Only Departure

Really at a loss for Kauai, as we are already seeing a volcano in Hilo.

Also.... are there openings for Palo Brunch for 2 on April 30? :bday:

Thank you!!!!!

Debbie

I thought I read or heard that you could fill up a bag for a flat rate for your clothes to get cleaned ?

I got my Maui excursion. :woohoo: So if your taking the Iao Valley & Maui Tropical Plantation I will see you. If anyone is booking this I would suggest you call DCL and ask to speak to a supervisor and have them book it for you as there is still a glitch with this excursion on DCL site.

You must have a great Travel Agent to get this for you. :surfweb:

EpcotKilterFan....here ya go....
Hilo--Volcano Ntl Park-Macadamia - 12:15 PM
Honolulu-Pearl Harbor VIP Military Base - 7:15 AM

A friend of mine will get on the Wonder on January 15th. I will ask her to see what she can find out for me on that score.

Oh, I'll be on the Jan 15th cruise, too!

I had heard that Christiaan (who went on vaca last month) was going to be assisting with the Fantasy upon returning from vaca, but then would be returning to the Wonder for our April 29 Hawaii cruise.

EpcotKilterFan....Palo brunch for April 30th - 2 adults - only 11:30 AM is only time that is available

I promised that I would post some photos of the prototypes of the charm bracelets that we will be making in some of the jewellery workshops on this cruise. I have finished the first two and thought I would share the photos:

They are likely to evolve a bit depending on what is available when I place the order for the materials, but they should give you a good idea of what to expect. I am hoping to do the Pirate and Princess versions tomorrow.

Corinna

OMGosh! I love both of them. How can I choose??!? Now if I fall in love w/the Princess/Pirates one, I'm really going to be in trouble!

Hang in there, what excursions are you going to try and get ? :wizard:

Oahu: For DH I need to get one for the Arizona, if at all possible.
Big Island: Not sure yet
Maui: Haleakala or Ocean Center
Kauai: Garden Tour or Plantation Tour

Thanks TChrist05! That is helpful. I won't be able to do both Hana Picnic and the Luau. I will not go to the Luau since I have heard Hana Picnic is not to be missed.

Hopefully we will get in easily to book next week.

Debbie

It's not awful...although there is sometimes a long wait for machines (especially on sea days). Jason and I do always do laundry on our longer cruises, though, so that we don't have to pack 2 weeks worth of clothes....we wear each other's clothes anyway (same size, same gender :thumbsup2) and so we usually pack one week's worth of clothes each, wash, and switch wardrobes ;)

We have had good luck with VERY late night laundry (like 1am or later).

And you operate the machines by swiping your room key in them so no change :)

Laundry is a chore. Chores and vacations do not mix in my world.

I consider one of the biggest perks of my vacation is not doing laundry...we send real necessities to ship laundry to be done but I bring enough undies etc to last the whole cruise :-)
Laundry prices are not bad compared to picture costs !!

We have had our laundry done in the past as well. We sent all the shirts/shorts/pants and they came pack clean and nicely pressed. We did a load of socks/underwear in the laundry since it was easy and socks/underwear add up fast when paying by the piece.

We got this by calling DCL and asking for a supervisor as well. Did not go thru our TA.

Bev, looks like there is just us at the QM. If you don't get enough to get the group rate then please move us to the Doubletree.

And note that Granmaz has canceled. :sad2:

I got my Maui tour by talking to my inside source. I am so not telling the name or what they do here. I have lots of great info for our voyage but I can't post it publicly. Also of course the info that is in my possession is subject to change in whim.

Hello guys.....my DW and I are flying in the night before. I will be working that day and going straight to the airport. We really want to just get a hotel by the airport and then leave in the morning with DCL transportation. Anyone staying near the airport? If so, where are you staying....and what kind of a rate did you get?
Thanks....
Tom & Marilou
