Disney clearly needs MAJOR IT help. I really don't understand why they are such a disaster in this arena. They are such a huge company and there's absolutely no excuse.

I can only imagine the issues Apple would bring. They can't even get their maps app to work properly. I can imagine it now 100 mins for Figment and 5 mins at Test Track are posted wait times hahaha.

It won't happen, consider that Apple didn't even go after MGM. Just because Apple could do a thing doesn't mean they would or would even consider it.

Now a year or so ago when it was discussed I was like oh hell no, but today anything to get rid of Chapek would be my thought. Apple would only want Disney for the production aspect and IP, I could almost see them spin off the Parks. But who knows what Marvel & Star Wars have in their sale agreements with Disney should it be purchased.

It goes higher up than Chapek...all the way to the top. The Bobs need to go.JMO

Disney IT is a complete joke. Even the State of Washington has a better IT department than Disney. Not sure how that is possible.

From a friend that works in that sphere its not just the pay, they don't invest in new hardware - much of it running on dated equipment.

Well I'm not sure I'd go there, that Unemployment Hack of 1.6 million people is sort of a big factor, while no doubt their subcontractor is to blame, the State gets blamed for not staying on top of them.

Well I'm not sure I'd go there, that Unemployment Hack of 1.6 million people is sort of a big factor, while no doubt their subcontractor is to blame, the State gets blamed for not staying on top of them.

The outside contractor was entirely responsible for that hack. They do have to outsource most functions since they are unable to afford technical talent in Puget Sound when new college grads are getting $150k offers from Amazon. At least they are generally outsourcing the work to competent firms. Plus I like that you never have to call them. They don't have thousands of people answering phone calls like Disney does.
