Anyone else hate Crocs, Crocs threads, and even typing "Crocs"

An alternative to Crocs would be to strap a couple of these babies onto your feet with Duct tape.

Plus when you feel like a snack, you can slip one out and eat it...I'm sure it'll be warm and soft. Wearing your food also cuts down on all the crap you need to carry thus eliminating the need for that other item that people are obsessing over...the stupid Baggalini.

Now there's a woman who knows what "sexy" really is. My DW would be sexy wearing a garbage bag and tying newspaper around her feet. Sexy isn't about looks, it's about attitude.

This whole debate simply boils down to form vs. function. I know there are a couple of scattered people who don't like the fit, but for 99% of customers, it just comes down to whether you have enough self-esteem to wear really comfortable, well-made, nicely designed shoes, or whether you place more emphasis in your life on trying to impress a lot of people that you will most likely never have any interaction with. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't times when a dressier shoe is called for, but for normal, everyday, casual wear, Crocs are one of (if not the most) comfortable pairs of shoes you could ever put on your feet.

"Sexy" is more than just self-esteem. Just because someone has self-esteem doesn't mean they are "sexy" to everyone. Look at Anna Nicole Smith. She's got plenty of self-esteem and she thinks she darn sexy (and make sure everyone knows it). I tend to disagree.

And its nice to know that you think that all people who chose fashion over "function" (because obviously those two things cannot coexist  ) have low-self esteem.

lmao!!! Seriously, I think the DIS needs to stop telling people to wear lime green to recognize each other. At WDW I'll be able to spot a DIS-er from a mile away wearing their Crocs and carrying their Baggalini while drinking from a Brita filtered water bottle and patrolling refillable mugs. :lmao:

I am not an employee of Crocs, I am not a salesperson...I have no vested interest in the company per se. However.....for me (and I can only discuss me) these 'shoes' are the most comfy things I have found. I have tried many of the other 'comfy' shoes...Keens, Rockports, Ecco, Birk etc....but for me, ME, the Crocs are the ones that get it done. Do I wish they were a wee bit more dainty? Yep. I have to admit that I still feel a bit self conscious when I wear them around town. I do get some pretty strange looks. But, I have had chiropractors, and podiatrists come up to me to say that they whole heartedly approve of my footware choice.
Should everyone buy some? Nope, not if you don't like them. But for ME, they do exactly what I need.
Is there a reason we feel that if someone doesn't agree with our choices then we get to denigrate them?? Why can't people just agree to having different likes, and dislikes, and let it go at that. I am secure in my 'sex-appeal', in my femininity, my older kids do make fun of my feet, my dh and 12 y/o dd have their own Crocs...so what's the problem? Wear whatever footwear makes you feel good. Do I care what someone passing by me in Epcot thinks about my footwear choice? Don't think so. Now, maybe we should be taking those women who wear those nice tippy high heels in the parks to task. :rolleyes1

FINALLY!!!! This is a long overdue thread.

I guess I don't care what other people wear to the parks, but it just seems like there are more threads about Crocs on the theme parks forum than about a particular aspect of an actual theme park.

I'll stick with my pair of New Balance running tennies I replace about every year or so. No blisters, footaches, backaches here.

Maybe there should be a rule: every time a Crocs thread is started, an equivalent thread needs to be started about what type of politically incorrectly-named shirts you wear to the parks? :rotfl: Do you wear white or dishwater gray wb's to the park? Will my kids or grandkids like the Gymboree wb's?

I am soooo sick of hearing about them.

I have to admit, I put one of my foot (that's right, just one - couldn't force both feet to go through that at the same time) yesterday and thought I looked like a duck.

Sorry. I'd rather have my feet duct-taped with moleskin than wear those things.

Sure, why not? I always think they are one step away from breaking their necks. :scared1:

this whole crocs thing is very new to me... I looked at a picture and they looked like they'd be sweaty to wear - are they sweaty??

Someone post a picture please. For those who have never seen them - I feel I need to see it to decide. Do they look like crocodiles or something?

No..... why bother? Women that wear high heels to WDW don't flood the DIS with threads paying homage to their shoes. Plus no matter how uncomfortable and tippy they are, they look good wearing them, especially if they are wearing a bikini, lingerie or some tight jeans with a tank top.

That can't be good for your feet walking around in "sandals" it does not support the ball of the foot or arch and walking around oh let's see 5 miles at a park each day in crocs is unbelievable there so hideous to

*end of rant*

No, they're uglier:

They are definately ugly....I tried a pair of them on and they weren't exactly comfortable or uncomfortable....they were awkward :confused3

Add me to the "anti-croc" list. I think they are hideous, sorry don't mean to offend, but I find them offensive. ;)

Let's start a new photo competition! Take pictures of people wearing the ugly Crocks. Even better if you can be in the picture pointing and laughing! ;)

Crocs are the ulgiest pieces of footwear I have ever seen. :snooty:

I almost fell off the chair yesterday when my husband announced he wanted to buy an orange pair! :faint: :scared1: :headache: Thankfully he decided against them! ;) :rolleyes1

I can just see it now, Hey have you tried the new T-Box shoes that guy Matt has? I hear they are so comfortable and the new shoes to wear at Disney. And they are only $29.95 :lmao:
