Anyone else hate Crocs, Crocs threads, and even typing "Crocs"

We needed an Official Crocs-bashing thread. It was a dirty job, but someone had to do it. ;)
YAY A thread I can relate too! :thumbsup2 I honestly went out to a local shoe shop (sports authority) to try these "things" on and have NO idea HOW people are wearing these VERY un-comfotable shoes! :sad2: They must have feet that FIT and LOOK like these shoes, cause MINE sure didn't! :rotfl:

Ugly and uncomfortable. I tried them and HATE THEM! Wish I could get my money back.

I wish we would have a Croc sticky on one of the boards so the rest of the posts would go away.

AMEN!!!!!!! I think they are by far the ugliest shoe ever created.

A double amen! Blech.

To each their own, but I would never consider them. When I noticed a handful of people wearing these at Disney, I thought they were from another country or something.

Comfort is important to me too, but with all the attractive AND comfortable shoes available. I certainly will never have to resort those things. :goodvibes

Hurray for this thread! Sometimes this board looks like a shoe fetish forum, rather than a touring tips board. :rolleyes1

No kidding.

If you want comfortable shoes that aren't as ugly as Crocs..might i suggest putting your feet into these beauties.

Looks a little sweaty to me, do they come in a version with holes? Is there an assortment of colors? Where is the best and cheapest place, I can buy these? Do they come in a sandal?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Will my DH wear them!? :smokin:

(Plus, I can still be sexy even in hideous shoes!)

Now there's a woman who knows what "sexy" really is. My DW would be sexy wearing a garbage bag and tying newspaper around her feet. Sexy isn't about looks, it's about attitude.

This whole debate simply boils down to form vs. function. I know there are a couple of scattered people who don't like the fit, but for 99% of customers, it just comes down to whether you have enough self-esteem to wear really comfortable, well-made, nicely designed shoes, or whether you place more emphasis in your life on trying to impress a lot of people that you will most likely never have any interaction with. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't times when a dressier shoe is called for, but for normal, everyday, casual wear, Crocs are one of (if not the most) comfortable pairs of shoes you could ever put on your feet.

If you can wear "fashionable" shoes at WDW and not have any foot problems at all, more power to you. However, choosing any shoe that causes blisters, foot pain, or even hotspots over any other shoe (whether Crocs or anything else) that allows you to walk pain-free for miles just because you want people to think you have "fashion sense" is just plain silly.

you almost need a whole suitcase just for your Crocs. They are huge and I've got the mediums. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

The sad thing is, I doubt any real shoe fetishist would ever be caught dead lusting over Crocs.

:rotfl: OMG too funny! :thumbsup2

I didn't read the whole thread but does anyone have a picture of these? I'd love to see what you are all talking about.

This is the only Crocs thread I have ever even considered reading, so I'm a bit out of the loop, but where, exactly are you folks shopping that the ONLY shoe you can find that's comfortable is a Croc?

I've been wearing every brand of tennis shoe (trainer, to our dear Brits) in the parks since Magic Kingdom opened and I have never once thought 'OMG, my feet are so sore! I'd better look for the ugliest Finger Jello on the planet and strap it to my poor achin' tootsies!'

C'mon. There are hundreds of comfortable shoes on the market. Can't we admit this is just another case of 'I got CINDY'S for breakfast'-hysteria?

(Smack me....I'm stirrin' the pot!)

(But I do really mean it........)

The damn things are butt ugly and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them no matter how comfortable they are. But the shoes themselves aren't what's so annoying. The number of threads about them are. What exactly do dozens of posts praising a fugly shoe have to do with Trip Planning? Hell, even on the "I hate Crocs" thread, more than half of the posts are from the same bunch of folks obsessed with the glorified galoshes.

I don'g get this either. I have some sandals that I wear to Disney that are very comfortable and they are cute too!

Thanks! Now I see what all the fuss is about! While I do think they are okay for kids, I couldn't imagine an adult wearing them. I did see something similiar on someones feet in WDW a couple of months ago. They were an incredibly ugly lime green. They must have been Crocs.

As a nurse who's been wearing rubber clogs for 20 years, I do not understand how health professionals would want to wear these to work. Too many large holes for nasty things to slip through, if you get my drift. Yuucckk!! :scared:

I've actually wondered about this.. especially with the holes. All you need is do be doing rounds and have someone vomit on your feet and ewwwwwww!!

I love it...because I think Crocs are ugly and would never wear them, that I would rather wear a comfortable, good looking shoe, I have no self esteem? :rotfl: Holy crap, that is funny. :lmao: So I care about my appearance, big deal. I like to present myself a certain way, it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with what others think. It's for me, and I prefer not to wear clown shoes, that's all. :teeth:

If people didn't care how they looked, then why are there mirrors? Should I go out with tanlged hair, wrinkled clothes??!!??!!

You Croc people... :lmao:

Ha! Ha!
I think they are ugly.
I am convinced that the people on here who start the "I love Crocs" threads are employees/makers of Crocs.
Goes to show you, people will buy anything!
UUUGGGLLLYY!
Great thread by the way!

Yes, LOL, I still have an old pair of Calzuros with tiny holes that I wear sometimes. On more than one occasion I've had warm, wet socks  :lmao: um, not too pleasant!!
