Well ya see...apparently, there was a precedent set for this type of activity by some members of this board..(modesty prevents me from naming names)...but suffice it to say, I missed the "presentation" because I was left at the airport waiting to go.... :guilty: :confused3 :furious:

No one should ever be left behind

:charac2: <insert sad music here...> Ah, Dave, Dave, Dave.... It's tempting to offer you some cheese to go with that wine, but that could sound mean, which isn't my intention at all... I'm sure you're a very talented and resourceful guy...why don't you .figure out some clever way... :drive: :car: :sail: :moped: :teleport: :boat: ...to get yourself down to MCO. I'm sure there are lots of us single ladies who would be happy to spend some time with you then. Maybe December...it's going to be a great party.... party: :jumping1:

As for the "wet tshirts"...the first one was entirely spontaneous and mostly thanks to mother nature...so your best bet is just to spend plenty of time with lots of fun people down there. And WDW is right...a few rides on Kali and Splash Mountain probably increase the odds...

So we have talked about cars and bad dates and somehow, wet t-shirts...what shoul dthe next topic of discussion be? Any ideas?

Since this is a singles thread, how about something to do with that?

What does everyone like to do at Disney World? I know running the parks is big with everyone and dining tops a lot of lists, but what else do you like to do?

Water parks?
Boating?
Fishing?
Golf?
Tennis?
Tours?
Adventure walks?
Skiing?
WOD? (shopping)
Free boat rides to and from hotels?
Dancing?
Dinner shows?
Gator wrestling? (ties in with adventure walks)
Games?

Speak your pieces!

I'm pretty simple. I like riding the rides, shopping at the souvie shops and watching the parades/night shows. I become a 5 year old again everytime I go to disney.

How about this for a topic, well more like a question.

How do you go about meeting people?

Examples:

1. Blind Dates (we all have that friend who has a friend who would be perfect for us)

2. Bars

3. Work

4. School

5. Online

6. In line at the grocery store and other places not mentioned above

What have you had the most success with?

People Watching. I love the rides, food, etc. But I also like to sit on a bench for a while and take it all in, all the different people on vacation.

What to do...? Well, aside from the obvious (rides, esp. coasters :) )
1. I try to have breakfast at Ghirardelli once while I'm there ('cause hey, I'm a grown up and I can have a sundae for b'fast if I want to...{yeah, the diet eases up @WDW} )
2. Love the walk from MGM to Epcot (to counterbalance #1)
3. Jellyrolls (more fun w/a friend or two) and/or Adventurers' Club
4. Drawing class at MGM. 7 characters so far....have a few more spaces on the walls...
5. Try to do at least one special thing...meal, tour, etc. Segway was great!

haven't but would love to...
6. Dancing! But that's not a great by-yourself one :confused3
7. Golfing

A question for all of you still looking for your Disney Prince or Princess....don't you think the moderators on this thread should help us out and put the age and whether male or female next to our names? Just a thought... :firefight

Or perhaps we should all do a roll call (only problem is I always forget who is who) I'll start...

Male...48..Northern Michigan
Like WDWthePlaceToBe said, you can add that info to your profile or to your sig...also, a thought for those of you who also hang out at dismates...if your dismates handle is different, consider putting that here somewhere too...gets hard to keep track of everyone sometimes.... :grouphug: :dance3:

I enjoy golf while I am "at home"...I also like the party at Pleasure Island ...and yes, set down for this one...I am a guy and I like to shop...Have to hit the Disney outlet stores in the Belz outlets...I also like going to a dinner show..love Arabian Knights...Medevil Times...etc...

Living in a very small town ( less than 5,000)...I tend to meet ladies on the internet the most...and I would say most of the ladies I have chatted with on the net and then met, have been very nice..just a couple weirdos...The part that grinds my socks is you look at the profiles in say Yahoo or Match ..and wow...looks like at least 90% of the woman love to camp, hunt and fish...amazing..since I have never met a lady that liked any of that stuff...surely, they would not exaggerate? (BTW, not ALL guys like that stuff...I don't camp, hunt or fish)...but I do play with fire! :firefight

OK, first, I don't think I want to know what condition your socks must be in if it's possible to *grind* them. And, gosh, I'm sure that the women who post internet profiles wouldn't exaggerate their love of the outdoors any more than men would exaggerate any of *their* sterling qualities. :confused3 ...don't know why people do that, actually, 'cause the truth is going to come out eventually... :rolleyes1

OK, I'll fess up. I too like to shop, but if its repeated beyond this thread, I will be forced to deny any knowledge of that.

I have two daughters. I have no choice but to do a lot of shopping. I don't really mind it.

HA, reminds me of another first "date" a few years back. It wasn't really a romantic date. She had just moved to the area and was looking to meet new people. Anyway, after dinner, we ended up at a mall and she shopped for a new skirt and some boots and I helped her decide which ones looked best.

When I shop for myself, I'm in full-on strategic mode. I know what store(s) I want to hit and exactly what I'm looking for. Grab some shirts/jeans/pants/etc., try on those I'm not sure about, buy what I want and get the heck outta Dodge! :teeth:

Well sure, now he knows that it makes him extra appealing to a segment of disney-loving gals...if the situation was reversed you would have chimed in to add your name to the "shoppers" list, now, wouldn't you?? :rolleyes1

Moi? :rolleyes1

I hate hate hate hate shopping. If I walk into a store and don't see something within the first 2 minutes that really grabs my attention I'm OUT of there.

Disney shopping I like because it's gifts for other people.

When it comes to DISNEY things, I can shop with the best of them and WOD is awesome but I go into every shop in BVV. I love wandering through all the main street shops too. I find most of my golf shirts at the courses but a few have been garnered at WOD. I love it when I find a half price deal and they have my size.

Any shopping other than that I'm a speed shopper. I know exactly what I am going after, get it and am gone. If a woman wants me to go shopping with her, fine, as long as their is a pub next to where she will be. I do wander into Vistorias Secret and Fredricks. Nothing warms my cockles more than having a complete stranger (woman) ask me, "how do I look in this" when I am in there....
