Here's a question for all of my fellow ROFR "waiters":
If you don't pass ROFR this time around what will you do?
... [stuff deleted] ...
So, what are you all thinking?
I went through this thought process back in either March or April when I made my offer on a re-sale.
At one point I was actually thinking I should have gone right to Disney and bought new, just to avoid the waiting time and the stress associated with it. I wanted to have my sale closed in time to make a reservation right at the 7 month window. I had major concerns that I would not get my reservation.
At that time, I think I would have bought SSR from Disney, IF (and only IF) I would have had points to use by December 2004.
I had already decided that I would do this.
However, if I were giving myself enough time, and planning ahead as I should, I would have been more likely to try for a re-sale again.
I have tried to see the logic in ROFR, and sometimes I think I see the logic, and other times it just seems more random.
At the time I bought my re-sale, a lot of people were reporting passing ROFR with similar and even better deals then I was getting, so I was pretty confident.
I know I will really enjoy SSR this December, but I am not certain that I will like it (at least not better the OKW) after it is full.
Once they upgrade the pull-out-beds in VWL I am sure that resort will likely be my favorite. The beds, are another reason that SSR is my first choice for this December, but will not likely be my first choice in the future.
