Any advice on flying easyjet............

I have flown with them a couple of times now and have had no problems at all with them, on our first return flight from CDG my eldest daughter fell asleep just before we landed and one of the flight crew helped me get everything gathered up so I could carry dd of the plane and brought all my bags to the door for me.

As far as I remember they allow those with children aged 5 and under to board first along with the speedy boarding group. (they had better still do this as I am flying back from CDG in September on my own with three children and don't fancy having them all over the plane!)

The kids take a rucksac each filled with books and their DS's to keep them occupied and food they always need food. The flight back to belfast is not till 10pm at night and they always seem to have a good supply of snacks available.

I would also like to put in a good word for Easyjet, we have flown with them 3 times now and have booked a 4th for January. Just to reiterate what people have said before people with under 5s get on the plane early which is a blessing. I believe that it is now the policy of CDG to take buggies off you as you check in as we lost ours on our return flight even after pointing out that Josh was ill and needed it to sleep.

The snacks and drinks on the plane aren't gouge your eyes out expensive but I still wouldn't pay for them, so we always take stuff with us. Did buy a snack pack for Josh on the return flight one time and he loved it, pate, cheese, crackers and the like.

Go Easyjet.

I have flown with Easyjet loads of times & had no problems. Just to add a comment about having to hand over buggies at check in. We had to do this for the first time ever at CDG in January on our return flight (luckily I had reins in my hand luggage!), but were allowed to keep it to the gate in May, so maybe they have changed their policy, or I just got a sympathetic check in operator.

Hi me again:rotfl2:

When you take snacks do you buy them after security or are you able to bring them with you in hand luggage? Don't want some security man to nick my pringles:lmao:

Never had any problems with snacks and security, the only thing they get fussy about is liquids, which you have to buy in the departure lounge. No security man is getting his hands on my pringles.

Last time we flew Easy Jet to Disney in October they didn't take kids first, boarded seat numbers so was glad to have speedy boarding but this was probably unusual. Especially at CDG was a free for all.
Hope you got reports finished! Only 2 weeks. YIPEE!!!!!

Not going to help you now, but if you decide on another trip (!), then check out Air France again. We are about to book tickets (from Newcastle) with them as they are coming out much cheaper than Easyjet!!! And, I've priced for November (shhhh! ;)) and again, cheaper than Easyjet - not sure how, but AF's prices from Newcastle are v v cheap! :cool1:

Question for those of you that have flown easyjet how strict are they with the carry on? I have read that if it is even 1/2 cm too big they charge to check it. We are taking easyjet for 3 legs FCO-BRI then BRI-MXP and MXP-CDG and want to make sure we won't have any problems. Also one more thing for one of the legs I did my name as appears in passport First name and then my last which is maiden-married. On the other two legs I forgot my maiden in the US I've had no problems flying domestic this way do you think I'll have problems?

They are strict on carry on luggage - but dont worry they don't measure them! They are more bothered about the amount fo bags you take on rather than the size.

Personally I would phone up and change you name to match you passport - For the U.K you need your passport to match up with your booking details for Easyjet flights (even domestic), and I would have thought the same rule applys in Europe. You will ahve to pay charge for changing your name on your booking....

last year with air france... i had a problem.. nearly.
My son has a double barrelled name, i didnt check the details for my disney package inclusing travel properly... but 2 weeks before i looked again and realsied that one of the surnames was down like a middle name, so i rung to check and she said.. it was a huge deal and they wouldnt have allowed me to fly:scared1:.. thankfully i got it sorted in time, they tried to charge me £90 pounds, but i refused as i stood by it being their mistake as i did tell her it was a double barrelled surname. and in the end i was proven right as telephone call had been recorded!

so i would def check... air france def are strict on it.

we booked with Air france for our trip just gone but it was operated by easy jet. We were alowed bring the buggy to the gate on both sides (we flew from dublin). We boarded first and our buggy was at the steps of the plane when we got off both times too.
They served us food, just a roll and drinks, and we didn't have to pay for it.
