I will probally donate the fish to the museum. I normally do donate the first of every fish I get too. I just can't get myself to give away the fish yet. He seems happy swimming away in my house. Can you only get paintings at Redd's? I have yet to get any of those.

I believe Nook also sells the paintings. The paintings you buy from Redd can be fake. If you donate them to the museum the owl will tell you they are fake and give them back to you. Then when you go to Nook to sell them he gives you very little.

How is it I always miss the boat on these things? I have no idea what I am doing in my city. I just wander around fishing all day long. What else should I do?

I already paid off my mortgage and built and addition. I am 2/3 of the way through paying that off. What else can I do?

How do I 'catch' one of those flying presents with the ballon?

It's also sad how much I play ... I am waiting until DS goes down for a nap in 1/2 hour to play today. Usually he likes to fish with me but he's cranky today!

To get the presents on the balloon you have to get a slingshot. I don't think you can get one until you upgrade from Nook's Cranny or if someone (a friend) sends you one. You will hear the air swooshing..lol..when the balloon comes. You can also shake the trees without fruit to get money and sometimes furniture and you can also take your shovel and hit all the rocks in town to find money.

Thanks Toni - Didn't know about the rocks. I do go around every day and pick all the fruit and shake all the trees!! Why would they send balloons around if I can't get them yet ... that's annoying!!! I have only had the game for 3 days!

Before you pound rocks for money, be sure to get a golden shovel by planting a regular shovel and digging it up the next day. Otherwise, you will be wearing out the regular shovels.

Dmickey, Cheryl is my roomie and we live in the same town. Typically its me that opens the gate, I am Aimee Cheryl is a bit on the shy side so if she opens she throws the remote to me to handle it..lol.

I should be opening up here in a few. I have had a slow morning.
I have some people to add as well. I was thinking that if people need certain items we could set up an exchange of sorts. I have a large nooks, and if someone needs a slingshot or anything I almost always have them. But I am looking for either a ranch or cabana wardrobe or dresser.

Someone talked about time travel I wanted to address that, yes when you time travel there are some problems. First tip, never go more than a week at a time, so if you went back to Halloween, then go one week at a time back to the present, thats why I am still in Oct! Weeds are going to be everywhere when you travel, just pluck as you go. Your hair, you get bed head and the only thing you can do is go to the salon and spend 3000 bells to get it fixed. Also if you are into turnips do not travel they will rot. Cockroaches, happen as well. Just stomp them and they go away

Ok I think I've successfully added everyone that has posted their friend code or emailed me.

Aimee thanks for the time travel tip. I think I got rid of all the roaches and weeds. I do have a bit of bed head but I was able to get the pumpkin head off and mask the bedhead with my wii mask. I think it will be awhile before I venture out again as that was quite the experience.

I will be hopping on soon and I'll open my gates if anyone wants to visit. I've got to run around and get a few things done around my "real" house before my family thinks I've gone a little crazy.

The guide book says it needs to be buried for 4 days. Don't know if that's correct or not.

Once you have the golden shovel, you can bury bells and they will become trees that grow bells.

Have you visited the city to shop?

Visit your neighbors and they might give you something.

Write letters to the neighbors (with or without a gift) and they might send you back a gift.

Dig for fossils

Pick up the shells

Check out lost and found and the recycle bin

Buy a net to catch bugs

water the flowers that look like they are turning brown

Buy some clothes or accessories at the clothing store in town

go to the coffee shop on Saturday nights to hear music and get a song for your radio

I'm not sure what there is, so I'll trade just about anything. I have a bunch of stuff that I've collected stored in my wardrobe at my house. A new lamp might be nice. I only have a lava lamp and a desk lamp. Neither of which go with my random decor! I did get a fireplace yesterday which is nice but I also got 2 sprinklers and a campfire which I only seem to be able to place in my house. I'm afraid I'll burn the joint down with the campfire, but I guess I could set up the sprinkler to put it out.


O.k. I just checked I do have the cabana wardrobe if you want it. You just have to tell me how to get it to you.

I'm going to check and see if I can visit anyone, I am in desperate need of some new fruit. I'm a little sick of looking at oranges. If not, I'll open up for visitors.
