Animal Crossing-City Folk

I have to ask...how do you irritate the neighbors? I guess I've been a little too nice to mine.:lmao:

I am so excited, I figured out how to get mole crickets.:cool1: Now I'm still working on how to get my package that keeps floating by on a balloon. Our nooks only ever has the fishing pole, net, and shovel. I am almost always out of medicine because the darn bees keep stinging me.:rolleyes1

As far as irritating the neighbors, if one of them says something to Ds that he doesn't like, lol, as soon as they turn around to walk away he pulls out his net, gets behind them and hits them lol. When I had played with it, one of the neighbors didn't like it because I wouldn't trade something, so it said something and I pushed it a few times and it told me to stop lol. We've only done that a few times though, we dont want any of them to move away lol.
ohh and we would never ever do that in any other towns either! Dont want to be known as the bullies:)

Hey eek40,
Ds and myself had a blast in your city, he was unsure about taking any
fruit even after he asked lol, he was trying to be polite. Your fruit trees are amazing! Thanks again

I do have it, but I do not have it set up, I may set it up tomorrow. I will add more later tonight I think Ihave like four people left to add maybe five. I have had so much fun with everyone. I think I talked to Anthony but not much.

Yeah he was excited. He types very slow though. But give him a cell phone and look out :lmao:

OK I just added 23 people to my list. Under "T" In comments I wrote that its 3leafs from dis so you all know its me and not my son.. Now I just have to figure out how to go from here :lmao:

Hey all! Hope everyone is enjoying AC!!!

I played tonight for the first time in a week. I have been sick. It was so nice to get back to playing! I just paid off my basement so my house is totally paid for now. I wish you could make the house have mulitiple rooms like the DS version.

The snowmen can be tricky but you can pretty much eye the sizes of each snowball to see if they are proportioned correctly. I also found, which I didn't know before, that if you accidently push a snowball over a cliff or in a lake, if you go into the gate and come back out it will appear again. I have a lot of the snowman series. Not all of it yet though. My DF has like 3 million bells in the bank! He started a business on the animal crossing message boards where he auctions off his rare items like from other countries. He is a dork. :rotfl:

The ability to visit others towns does make this game much more exciting!

I had my first coconut wash up on shore this am!:cool1: Anyone know what those fire hydrant thingys are for? I dug up 3 today and I'm not sure what to do with them:confused3

Oh and I caught myself a stingfish last night. It's worth $15,000 bells:scared1: but I can't bare to part with it so it sits in a giant tank in my house taking up most of the room.:lmao:

Hey never worry about taking our fruit:) LOL we have plenty to share. Thanks for the kind words.

Yes the fire hydrant thingys make noise and wiggle if placed in your room, I cant stand them but they sell for like 800 bells so I always sell mine. Or give them as gifts to neighbors. WTG on the stingfish. I almost caught a shark yesterday and I got so excited that I hit A to fast and he got away:( I was so mad. I can only imagine how big that tank would be!

The fire hydrant looking things are Gyroids. You can sell them or if you put a few in your room near your radio, they will enhance the song you have playing.

If you go to the Roost (the little coffee shop on the bottom floor of the museum) and drink a cup of coffee a day, the guy behind the counter will become your friend and will store all your gyroids for you. (I forgot his name..lol) or you can just sell them. They usually appear in the ground after snow or rain the previous day.

Yay for the stringfish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I caught a Tuna the last week and I am storing it for the next fishing tourney. I have to beat my DF!!!! :rotfl:

Ugh I am so bored with mine. My house is full of fish cause my store is closed today :lmao: and the bus is not running.. Now I have to go see if I have a coffee shop in my museum. or is this in the city? I just found out there is a recycling bin :rotfl2: I knew if i carried that can around for awhile it would do me some good :rotfl2:

I just wanted to see if you all have this strategy guide.

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72748

It is the best 20 dollars you will spend! its not a cheat book but it lists every single item you can come across in the game and a place to mark it off if you have it so you don't keep buying the same things. If you catalog something, you can go to Nook's and buy it again so its good to catalog everything!

ALso, the book has a yearly calendar which will let you know the animals birthdays, when fishing tournaments are scheduled, flea markets (which are fun!) and when special visitors come to town. Its a GREAT book!

I grabbed it right away at GameStop last week. They had it on sale for $10.

The coffee shop is in the musuem.

Go around shaking the trees and pounding the rocks for money.

I'm bugging my neighbors now :lmao: :lmao: wonder if they will ask you to leave:rolleyes1 I made it to the coffee shop but couldn't figure out how to get them to store my dancing guys. :confused3 Also am I the only one that pulls weeds :lmao:

We enjoyed having you visit the other night, you guys were actually our first visitors. Ds was the one playing, I was watching and I saw something with the flowers I just wasn't quite sure what happened lol. Hope to see you again!

I just found out I can send mail to friends that have visited. I sent your ds some mail. I hope he gets it.:)

You could always donate the fish to the museum. That's kind of one of our house rules - the first one of anything (bug or fish) goes to the museum. It hurts to basically give away 15,000 bells, but a full museum makes a town attractive. We actually only need 3 fossils to complete our fossil exihibit. And if Redd would stop selling forged paintings, we'd have a ton by now.

I've got all of my gyroids stored at The Roost with Brewster. I think I have around 60 or so in there. I should just sell the darn things!

I know some people (my DH included) think strategy guide are cheating, but this one has been great. Helps keep track of who has what, etc. Plus it tells you everything that's out there.

Oh, and today we had someone move here from one of the towns we visited. I I knew that happened on the old GameCube version, but didn't know it would happen here, too.

Hey everyone, I ended up having to work today..lol real world gets in the way of Animal Crossing. I may try to visit someone tonight or open, it depends on when I can pry the wii remote out of my roomies hands:)

LOL she is all excited because she just found two snow balls near each other, she is obsessed with making the perfect snowman! Not that I didnt do the same thing with Jingle, including learning how to trick him to get more of the set! :rotfl: :santa:

Such a fun game, I am really glad this has been a great thread.

I couldnt agree more with the stragety guide for this game, it really helps figure out values and stuff. I typically do the same thing as well with bugs and fish, I am a little bit more selfish with my fossils, but I still donate them along with every painting I find thats not a fake. I still have some people to add, thanks for being patient with me!
Aimee

I played tonight over DF's but didn't see anyone on. :sad2: I will be back on tomorrow night! I think I am going to be like DF and start a rare items sales business!!! He is a millionare in bells! If only money was that easy to get in real life!

The guide book really isn't a cheat book at all. It doesnt tell you how to get anything easier or give codes. Its basically just a great guide to keep track of things and see the value.

I was excited because I just discovered my room is a model room in the Happy Room Academy in our city!!!!

I decided to try my hand at time travel last night. Dh and I decided going back to Halloween night would might be fun. I may suggest if going back in time, you know exactly what your getting yourself into.:rolleyes1 I of course didn't have any candy to pass out so one of my neighbors slapped a pumpkin on my head, all the rest of my neighbors beat the crap out of me while I was running for my life back to my safe house. Some guy Jack stole everything in my pockets and turned them into jack in the boxes. Then when I finally got back to normal time, I still had a pumpkin on my head, roaches running around my house :scared1: and weeds everywhere. I went to buy back my fishing pole, net and shovel only to find the sling shot I've been wanting but now no fishing pole. :sad2: Ugh! I was just beginning to think life in AC wasn't so bad.:lmao: :rotfl2: Now I have to go on and kill the roaches, pull the weeds, figure out how to get rid of the pumpkin head, and hopefully buy another fishing pole.:upsidedow Oh and in my time travel I somehow lost my coconut tree that I planted yesterday morning so I have to wait for another coconut to wash up.

I will probally donate the fish to the museum. I normally do donate the first of every fish I get too. I just can't get myself to give away the fish yet. He seems happy swimming away in my house. Can you only get paintings at Redd's? I have yet to get any of those.
