I have to decide where I want to go for my b'day dinner. DH told the kids "absolutely no McDonalds!". It is pouring down rain here too. I have to go to the grocery store, but i hate going when it's raining.

I've talked to my mom and my friend Cathy on the phone. I've also worked a few rows on my new rug project. Other than that I've been very lazy today. I need to get moving. Guess I'll go climb on the treadmill for a while before I take my shower.

Don't Ask Grandma!
Little Jordan was staying with his grandmother for a few days. He'd been playing outside for a while when he came into the house and asked her, "Grandma, what is it called when people are sleeping on top of each other?" She was a little taken aback, but decided to tell him the truth. "It's called sexual intercourse, darling." Little Jordan just said, "OK" and went back outside to play. A few minutes later he came back in and said angrily, "Grandma, Timmy said it's not called sexual intercourse! It's called bunk beds!"

Glad Kaitlin is home from camp and that she had a good time. Nothing like time apart to make being back together so sweet.

I like the joke, Mike. I think when I'm a grandma I'll play dumb in that situation. Let them ask mom or dad.

I've had so many phone calls today that my cordless went dead. I never knew I was so popular! Now Mom wants me to run by for a visit. At least then I'll be away from the phone! Not many people have my cell number.

BTW, Mom told me she made the appointment for the procedure that the doc wants her to have. Yay! Thanks for everyone who was pulling for me to convince her. It helped that her new boyfriend took my side.

Gotta run. I'll check back after I pick up the from school.

Cami - Thankee for including Scottish Whiskey in your exchange package to Lou........He had his wisdom teeth out today and the Dr. saw fit to give him percocet for his pain, but, alas nothing for mine..............all I got were instructions on how to care for the poor chap..........ICE ON ICE OFF..............therefore I have seen fit to PILFER the Whiskey and don't know how much longr I wll be ablto tipe coherantee........................................

Okay for those of you who couldn't hear me wailing all the way from NJ here's how it went.....

First of all keep in mind I do not have that much wisdom to spare in the first place so I was somewhat opposed to this whole process anyway. That plus the sight of my own blood and excessive pain really didn't thrill me. (I have got to find a better way to celebrate the twins birthday next year!)

Then I thought they tie a string to a door knob and slam a door (doorknob BTW also being an acceptable answer to today's riddle regardless of what LK says!) So boy was I surprised when they rolled in the power tools.

They asked me if I wanted to be knocked out and I said the only Angels I wanted to see were on the DIS boards. So instead I wound up seeing Stars, er Star er whatever.....

Did you know that some of your teeth go as far down as your toes? Well that 's what it felt like with the bottom one! And just think I have two more to go! Anyway, my life's objective to make anyone in the medical profession earn their money when they treat me was fullfilled so they sent me on my way looking like either Chuck or Dave, um I mean Chip or Dale (darn delswife!)

But the real reason I crawled on between Percocets was to tell everyone I received my exchange gift from that bonnie lass in Scotland, Cami. Thanks Cameister!

It included Halloween votive candles, a Halloween pumpkin pen, a skeleton key chain, a guide to Scottish whiskey, a small bottle of Scotch Whiskey (no doubt for my better half ) and finally a set of fridge magnets which are Scottish "wurds"! They talk even funnier there then they do in Pittsburgh!

The best part of it is though that it came all the way from Scotland. Thanks to this group, we all get to reach out to parts of the world everyday and touch each others lives. As a matter of fact the postman rang the bell with Cami's package just as I finally nodded off! And Mike's joke made me laugh so hard I almost popped my stitches. And Donna made me use bad wurds in a PM which I always do, um I mean never do. Thanks for touching my life!

Well the percocet must be kicking in cause I'm getting mushy (and we all know that is Brian's job) and I'm starting to tipe lke jery......
