It's about 30-min away from a new season of America's Got Talent on NBC (9:00pm ET). I didn't see another thread on this show, so, 2009 season, here we go...
New season begins tonight with the auditions and, of course, Sharon, Pierce, & the most important part of the show..the Hoff!

And the Hoff means business, you'd better watch the show or else the Hoff WILL find you. (The Hoff has a will of his own and cannot be reasoned with). :scared1:

Okay it's approx 5-min until showtime. I'm serious, watch the show or Hoff WILL destroy you. This is no joke.

I mean really, this guy would destroy Chuck Norris if given the chance. So do the smart thing and watch the program.

Side note: I'm no English buff, but shouldn't the show be called "America Has Talent"?

I have never watched the show before tonight and almost shut it off but held out.
That last family that sang, the 2 boys and girl were more than spectacular. They are winners. They were fantastic. I was crying listening to them.
I don't know how they can judge the dancers against them, they are both talented but how do they decide which is a better talent?

three kids at the end, I was bawling! But talentwise my favorite of the night were the three singing sisters.

This is what dd who's 11 and I watch together during the summer. Some families camp, some do picnics, some go to the Grand Canyon, we watch AGT together!:lmao: The children at the end took my breath away. Man that little girl can sing. And her older brother has amazing poise and is just so intuitive with an audience.

I did like the 3 girls I think they were the EriAm family?

It's so much fun to watch kids who are great singers, and just have a terrific presence about them.

Funny perfomances tonight. Love this show. The Obama guy was funny. Glad he made it to the next round. Loved the last performance with the brothers and sister. They were singing in such harmony. I know mom was proud. Glad they made it to the next round. Liked the Chicago dance group- Foot Works also :dance3:.

Nick Cannon did a good job being host. He has lots of energy. Still can't get over him and Mariah Carey being married :rotfl: .

Was Sharon Osborne in a bad mood? She did not seem like her happy self tonight :confused3.

Missing Jerry Springer! Does anyone know why he's not on? His decision? Anyway...show was still good. Loved all the acts mentioned so far and was really entertained by the 100 lb. newlywed that lifed her fat husband. I didn't think that was possible. Amaaaazing!

The kids singing at the end were my favorite also. They definitely saved the best audition for last tonight. Nick Cannon was very entertaining and added a lot of humor and energy to the show tonight. At first, I was disappointed to not see Springer hosting, but Cannon fills the position nicely. I could hardly watch the guy who used the drill and fish hooks in his face. Way too painful, but he certainly pulled it off and had me convinced...too convinced. But he certainly deserves to move on to the next round.

The Cole family at the end had me sobbing! That poor family has been through so much with mom being hit in a head-on by a drunk driver and then being in coma for 8 months!
What lovely voices they had................

The kids at the end... I mean yes their story was sad. And yes they are pretty good singers, but they're not OMGAMAZING or anything. I mean, I think they're going to win just because, well, they're kids with a sad story, but I've definitely heard better. They're not bad, they're just overrated.

Flame away guys.
