'America's Got Talent' 2009

I loved Recycled Percussion and also Acrodunk. Both of those kept ratching up their performances each week. I could have seen both doing a Vegas show.

You are apparently happy about this. May I ask why? Do you really believe he is talented or is it just a regional thing?

I think he's very talented and I don't even listen to country music. I think he needs some polishing but both DH and I loved him the whole season. He moved my non crying hubby to tears nearly every time he performed.

Man this show is going down the tubes! Skinner beats Padilla, Recycled Percussion, and Fab 5?? WHAT???????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? This guy is going to be as successful as Bianca Ryan, we'll never hear from him again. Enjoy your million dollars Kevin, that's all you're ever going to get.

That's fair. We all have different taste. I didn't see it. I find him to be interesting, but that's about it.

Yeah, thats what I find so interesting about shows like this. I stopped watching American Idol for the same reason. it made my blood boil to see people I found extremely talented going home and people I can't stand winning or nearly winning. I can't stand Carrie Underwood. I dislike her music with every bone in my body but apparently there are millions who love her. Go figure.

I'm going to have to swear off of these type shows. It just raises my blood pressure. I cannot believe that the chicken catcher guy is in the final two. He can't carry a tune. I can sing better than he can and I can play the guitar also. I think they should rename the show to America Has No Taste In Talent. ARGH!

I don't like him at all and I can't even objectively look at him and see the talent. But most of all, I have a really REALLY hard time believing that the majority of viewers chose him above everyone else.

Please understand, I am an AI fan and I don't get bent out of shape over these things. Even when my favorite doesn't do well, I can ALWAYS at least respect the talent of those who do win. Or I can at least envision how the successfull performers might appeal to the masses, even if they don't appeal to me. That's not the case here.

This is the first time I really followed this show and overall I just have a hard time believing that these represented the most talented people in America. I DO believe these people represented the most talented people in America who have a sob story.

Finally, I would love to see them keep singers out of this show. I know it won't happen, but cute, talented singers are a dime a dozen. Every high school choral group has at least one. I would find this particular show so much more fun if we could see more of a range of different talents. Just IMO.

Did not enjoy the show overall (can you tell, lol!)?

maybe that all he wants.. but i really was pulling for him, yeah not the most talented but theres just something likeable about him..i thought barbara padilla was a bit over the top with her "i'm so humbled act" yeah right she knows she good and probably thought she was going to win. i really hope recycled percussion gets an act in vegas- they were by far the most entertaining . congrats to kevin skinner,i wish him well.

I thought that Kevin was like-able. He has that down home country thing going for him. But this is supposed to be about talent. He couldn't stay on key when he sang. He just sang songs other people have recorded. He sang them with feeling, but so did the others on the show.

I really think that he got through on his good old boy charm...not talent. I realize that he had a dream. So did all the others on the show. Some of them have been working at their talent for years. I believe many were much more talented than Kevin. In the end, hopefully some of them will get a shot at success due to the exposure on the show.

Yes, yes, yes!! Couldn't agree more. Kevin was okay, and he was very charming. But his last song was awful....major pitch issues. I have no problem with him in the final 10, but not the winner.
I was stunned when Lawrence Beaman was eliminated!!! I really thought it would be him in the final 5, perhaps the final 2. In fact, I was really torn...couldn't figure out who I liked better..him or Barbara.
I did come to enjoy the Texas Tenors though...they really grew on me. And Recyled Percussion??? They were absolutely incredible. Figure they'll get a contract someplace really soon.

You can just never tell how America is going to vote..not always sure they heard the same things I did, but it is what it is.
