Oh man, seems like more sorrow to come - unfortunately. Supplies are already dwindling. I am thinking Washington must have had some northern communities affected as well. Although I have not heard any news on that.

Hard job you have mommasita, but you must be relieved to be back - an exhale.

I realize you aren't trying to be, but what we're talking about here is total devastation. Lives have been lost, hundreds of thousands of people displaced with their property and livelihoods destroyed and there is LITERALLY no road or rail access between the BC coast and the rest of the mainland. Every single roadway, including the Trans-Canada Highway is washed out. Some may take weeks or even longer to rebuild, stranding MILLIONS of people and preventing aid operations and the transport of untold amounts of goods being moved in either direction. This is the greatest natural disaster in Canadian history and no, you don't want any part of it.
Same when it comes to fires and earthquakes and everything.

Normally we'd have stayed home and hosted friends for Thanksgiving and travelled for our big family celebrations at Christmas.
Our hearts are with you. It makes the Calgary floods of 2013 look like a mudpuddle. Hopefully you and yours stay safe.
