Anyone have a link to watch Adam last night...Just got to see it again...

FWIW: In the latest issue of TV Guide, Simon says Adam is clearly the best but that he might not win Idol. He thinks Adam will lose because it's gonna come down to Danny and Adam and that America will vote for the safe choice, which is Danny. He also said that Adam is 100% star material and will be a worldwide star and Danny will only sell in the US.

Then again, Simon also said a few weeks ago that Lil was going to be in the top 3.

If you remember, Simon all but told David Cook he might as well not even show up for announcement night because he had no chance of winning and that David A had it in the bag. That POd me so much that I voted even more times than usual. It was so rude and disrespectful, not only to David Cook, but to the voters. And I think it probably did GAIN some votes for David Cook from people who were so annoyed that Simon openly insulted DC on finals night......They voted when they might not have voted and voted extra when they might have only voted once. Truly, David A ought to smack Simon as well.

DH and I were sitting there asking each other, "Is he listening to the same performances we're listening to?" because we thought DC was great. Both did well....It was a matter of preference and taste. I can't stand Adam's screeching, but I know he has a huge fan base. His huge fan base realizes a lot of people hate the screeching. That's preference. So one group will vote for Adam and one won't. But in fairness, if Danny or Chris/Kris is in the final with Adam, each of those guys has their appeal as well. They just appeal to different tastes. I think unless either finalist craps out and can't hit notes, etc. that it's bad form to say, "You're not going to win," on finals night. Go ahead and critique them as to their strong and weak points, but it's just disrespectful and dismissive of all their hard work to tell them they have no chance of winning. It's not as bad to do it during the rest of the contest, but it's just uncalled for on finals night, IMHO.

If Matt goes this week, I'll be thrilled with the final 4! They will be a perfect group for rock week (and oh, I hope we get to see Slash as a mentor!)

I completely agree with that assessment. It will be a Reuben-Clay season. Reuben won, but Clay has a bigger career.

I think Danny Gokey will have a great career as a Christian recording artist, like how Rueben puts out gospel records now. And I think Adam will have more universal popularity.

Adam is by far my favorite, but I can't wait to hear Danny on KLOVE.

I agree. Matt was a wasted save.

Here's how I think they lined up last night...

1. Danny - Love that raspy voice. Also loved the arrangement
2. Allison - Her performance was top notch. You go girl!!!!!
3. Kris - Excellent performance. I think too many people underestimate him.
4. Adam - Indulgent show but still good. However that white suit was and I hate the way he screeches and sticks his toung out like a KISS wanna be.
5. Matt - Oh it is so time to go home.

It would be a shame to see Allison go before Rock week...I mean, c'mon....if she blows rock week, then yeah, here's the door, but Matt has already been given a 2nd chance and did not do much with it. He should go before Allison. Besides, of the 2, who do you think will do better during rock week? Plus, I don't want to hear Matt sing rock 2x's

I agree, Alison needs to stay around for rock week.
If Matt stays, he may loose the hat again next week and all the voters will be hypnotized by that thing on his forhead into voting him into the top three.

My take on last night:

#1 Danny--We have all been saying he needs to step up his game and boy did he do that last night!

#2 Kris--He doesn't get enough credit--I think if Adam wasn't there with all his flash and pizzazz distracting people they would realize just how good of a singer he is consistently.

#3 Adam/Allison--A tie for me tonight--While Allison did so much better than she has the last few weeks I wish she had been sent packing earlier and I'm bored with Adam and I think it's because each week I came to expect him to be over the top and even when he is it leaves me feeling eehh but that was one hell of a note at the end.

#4 Matt--Jamie I think did him in--He told him to sing it full voice and it just threw the whole song off.

My favorite has been Kris right from the start. Adam is good, but I think he tends to get a little shreeky (sp?) and I can't stand that tongue popping out when he hits his high notes.

You don't like Adam's tongue and I can't look at Kris's mouth calistenics... Anoop had them down pat!!
