I always love the mindset that expressing confidence in one's abilities is automatically arrogant.

And the truth is if he picked the other side, people would have thought he was TRYING TO LOOK humble and modest when he really thought he belonged on the 'stronger' side.

And if he stayed in the middle, people would be saying he copped out and was a coward.

It was a lose lose. The minute they set up those two sides, my dd and I said, "Adam is going to end up stuck between a rock and a hard place. No matter what he does, he loses."
