LOL ...not a musical I was thinking of!! Never heard of Oh Kay! I don't knoww hat I was thinking of now.

I love the song selection for tonight. I would buy a CD of these remaining 5 if they did a "rat pack" genre.

I never heard of it either.

I would buy a cd too. I enjoy this type of music.

I'm not a fan of Adam, he is to theatrical for me. He may be mainstream now but whose to say that music won't change and a new wave come in. I would not pay for his show. There's one or two I would pay to see from the top 10 and that's Matt and Kris with Kris winning right now.

IMO, nobody came close to Adam's performance. It was awesome. I love watching him sing and wondering what he is going to do next. He makes the show worth watching.

I've been voting non stop for about the last 15 minutes for Adam and have not had a busy signal yet.

I still put "Mad World" as Adam's best performance. It's the only one I've downloaded of ANYONE this year.

Same here. I don't know if anything will ever top that one. It's the only one i have ever downloaded too.

Idol has always been my favorite of all shows...but this year...with out Adam ....it would be so boring...every week he blows everyone else out of the water...no one else even comes close to him

I was able to get thru for Adam as well, Allison took me a few tries, STILL trying for Kris...guess my timing is bad for him...not voting for Danny or Matt this time around. I think Adam may get knocked down a few notches simply because his was not as recognizable as the others versions were...it was true Adam all the way, but maybe a bit too edgy for some who are true Rat Pack fans, does that make sense? Some songs, especially nostalgic ones, are often preffered when singers don't stray too far from the original. I think Danny knew this and took the safe route...both Kris and Matt mixed theirs up a little bit, Allison's voice changes any version up, but Adam really threw the drama out there, so we'll see!

No I don't, Mariah drives me crazy. I readily admit it is not my thing. Like I said all my friends thought I was strange because I didn't like the same music as them.

That makes sense then why you don't care for Adam. It is one of those type of things that you either like or not.

I can't stand Mariah Carey either, but I love Adam. I like a vocal range, but I hate runs just for the sake of showing off all your octaves ala Mariah, Whitney, and Celine.

I'm not a huge fan of her for that reason. I don't mind the one long high note, but the runs (from anyone, not just her) bug the crud out of me. I think that is why I don't care for Matt because he always tries to do the runs.

My favorite has been Kris right from the start. Adam is good, but I think he tends to get a little shreeky (sp?) and I can't stand that tongue popping out when he hits his high notes. My problem is that Adam is constantly being pimped - snags the last performance most of the time (top spot), has the best lighting, entrances...it's like they are pulling out all the stops for him. Kris is just as good..even better in my opinion..he's a true musician, not just a performer. I hate it when they obviously favor one over the other and "enhance" the performance for the chosen one. I hope Kris makes the finals...it would be a shame if he didn't.

I must be THE BIGGEST Adam Lambert fan out there. Could listen to him day and night. Tonight though, a previous Idol contestant had already sung that "Feeling Good" song, a girl, and I HATED it. It was hard for me to like Adam singing it because of my memory of that girl singing it.

Of course his vocals were crazy good but I would have preferred a different song.

BTW, have any of you heard Adam sing "Is Anybody Listening?" from when he was in The Ten Commandments with Val Kilmer? This almost makes me cry every time I hear it.

Nope, you've got some competition for that title. There are several of us on this thread that over him every week. I listen to his songs from idol and a few others that I've found on youtube. I agree "Is Anybody Listening" is awesome.

Don't know, but I would think (don't know) that it is up to the performer to choose how he presents his song (lighting, entrance, outfits). I can't imagine they would roll out the red carpet for one performer over the others. If the performer can imagine it, he gets it.

That was great! His talent and the depth of emotions in the way he sings some of the songs amazes me.

That's what I think too. I think Adam has previous experience in theater and performing and is really into putting on a show.
