Simon actually talked about DA versus DC finale and how they were genuinely "gobsmacked" that David C won. I agree with you that I think Simon's blatant rudeness to DC may have cost DA the win.If you remember, Simon all but told David Cook he might as well not even show up for announcement night because he had no chance of winning and that David A had it in the bag. That POd me so much that I voted even more times than usual.
It was so rude and disrespectful, not only to David Cook, but to the voters. And I think it probably did GAIN some votes for David Cook from people who were so annoyed that Simon openly insulted DC on finals night......They voted when they might not have voted and voted extra when they might have only voted once. Truly, David A ought to smack Simon as well.
DH and I were sitting there asking each other, "Is he listening to the same performances we're listening to?" because we thought DC was great. .
Just like I think Len telling Ty Murray it was time to hit the trail Monday night resulted in a lot of people voting for Ty and caused Chuck to go home on DWTS.
As a show goes on and the performances improve, it's counterproductive, IMO, for a judge to show blatant favoritism. Sometimes, I honestly wonder if they do it to try and sway the results.
