I don't think Carly "flubbing" words in the song had ANYTHING to do with her going home. I think the viewers just got...lazy?...about voting for EVERYBODY they like coupled with Brooke getting a wicked sympathy vote. I admit. I only voted for David C, but I probably should have thrown some votes to Carly too.

I like Jason... a lot, but don't you think that at some point in time he should be able to form a coherent sentence? It was cute at first that he mumbled and stammered and stuttered and didn't know things. Now he is just coming across as...well, dumb. Don't flame me too much, I want him in for as long as possible, but that's a pet peeve of mine. People who don't (at least) attempt to speak well.

I know a lot of people complain about Jason still being in the competition, but I really like him. I think he is sweet, charming and a very good singer. His voice is very soothing.

I voted for him Tuesday just because I think he is cute. I'm probably one of the few people in America that actually liked his performance on Tuesday. I personally would like to see David C take the whole thing but I did not want to see Jason booted before Brooke. She really needs to go.

I was sorry to see Carly go but I wasn't that thrilled with what she did Tuesday so I can certainly see why she was voted off. She has a good voice but I never felt like she connected with me.

I agree. He's flakey.

And his rendition of "Memory" made my ears bleed.

It was horrible! I sang that song in high school for Solo Ensemble and he was AWFUL!

Did anyone else notice that Carly got the lyrics to the first chorus right last night (and had mixed them up a bit Tuesday night)?

Regardless, she shouldn't have gone home before Jason and Syesha. Hopefully, she's gotten enough exposure to land the recording contract that she really deserves.

I caught it that night (Tuesday), at first I thought I wasn't hearing well since the back-ups were so overpowering, then I realized there wasn't a rhyme. . .if I'm not mistaken, David A. also botched a bit of his lyric--2nd verse I think???

Count me among those who are really bummin' that Carly is gone. I sincerely thought she deserved to be final 3. . .unfortunately, it happens too often on AI, the good ones go before the bad.

I agree, I have several of his songs on my Ipod, and they are very soothing, I love to listen to them when I drive. I have a couple David C., one each of Syesha, Kristy and Brooke, but many more of Jasons. Heck, I even bought Memory this morning, since I love that song. The studio version was much better.
I also bought David C's studio version this morning, holy crap, it's amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brooke really should have gone home last night.

What does everyone think about Neil Diamond next week?

No, I'm 45 and vote the entire two hours for Jason. Most of Jason's fans on the AI boards are middle-aged women, not 11 year old girls.

If anyone has any doubts about Jason's voice - you should take a listen to the studio version of MEMORY - it's AWESOME. His voice is soft, he's not a belter and quite frankly I hate singers who yell when they are singing.

Also, Jason had to go to the hospital over the weekend and get shots - he was sick and running a fever on Tuesday night - this coming from his family. I think he did rather good considering how he felt.

Last night: I was completely SHOCKED that Carly went home. It should of been Brooke for re-starting for the 2nd time this year - that's a big NO, NO to me. I figured Carly would be the last woman standing.

I agree...and last night when one of the judges(forget who) called him charming I just didn't get it. He's getting kinda old and sounding the same like David A

I don't remember Neil Diamond being on, but I've only religiously watched the past 3 season.

I like ND a lot. Have a lot of respect for him and I think he's a great artist and songwriter. AI theme weeks tend to be great when they feature good songwriter songs (ala Beatles week #1.) Diamond is one of those people, IMO. Somebody will sing "Hello Again" and I pray that it's a man and NOT David A (please oh please.)

Also Jason is NOT A POT HEAD!!! I hate reading those comments over and over and over. Also, his education should NOT be a factor. For the record Jason scored almost perfect on his SAT, got a scholorship to Texas A&M and was in his Junior year when he left to try-out for Idol.

I get tired of reading that too. I like Jason, he's not afraid to just be himself.

I don't know the song that well, so I didn't catch the mixed up words. At least she didn't stop and then start again. You are so right about Brooke getting the sympathy vote. Like I said before, she can sing but she can't handle the pressure.

Question about voting....

Do you really just vote for who you think did the best that night? I see a lot of comments about who should go based on that night performance. I have never really looked at it that way, I tend to find someone I like and stick with that person, even if they didn't have a great night. I don't I guess that's just my way of thinking, warped as it may be.

So, hmmm, not sure but you are a Jason fan?

I gotta tell you that I am too. I am no singer, to say the least, but I cannot see what was so terrible with his version of Memory. I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't genius or anything, but I didn't think it was as horrific as people say.

I said it before, I would definitely buy a CD of his. I like his soft sound also and if he is a good songwriter, he has it made.

I would just like to hear him speak a sentence. I am surprised that he is still, after all these weeks on TV, so shy and awkward.

I felt so bad for Syesha last night! She isn't my fave, but she had an excellent performance Tuesday night. I have no problem with Carlie going home. Forgetting the words is inexcusable at this level, but what do you do when THREE out of six contestants screw up the lyrics?

I am 39... No little girlies voting for Jason... just their Mom. My girls actually HATE David A too.... they think he is boring and looks creepy. The love David C. But so do I so we ALL vote for him
