Finally got back on my computer..had to kick off DD #1. Lots to catch up on here.

Anyone else get a little teary with Jordin and her hometown visit?

I got teary eyed at all of them.

I did I feel like this is the first time I've really seen who they are.

I never want to hear Ryan sing again though.

I am so happy with the results, even though I was shocked. I thought for sure that Blake was a goner. Either way I wanted Jordin to win!!!

I am thrilled about tonights results... I have loved both of them from the start, they are the only ones that I have voted for.

I think Blake reminds me of a young Phil Collins and Jordin is amazing.

I agree with everyone who says that Melinda is a great singer, she is but she isn't as entertaining to me than the others.

I can't remember a single Melinda performance. Yes, she has a good voice but as soon as she is done I forget her.

So, what is the scoop on the truth about Jordin because according to Hannathy's post above, I don't know anything about this girl. I think she is very talented and one of the most beautiful young women I have ever seen in my life. Have I missed something?

The only thing I know is that her Dad was a pro football player...played on the Jets I believe. As for the rest of what was posted I've never heard any of that stuff anywhere.

I agree. I see Jordin & Blake like last years winner & runner-up. Taylor and whats her face (Katherine)? You don't hear anything from either of them. My man Chris Daughtry is booming in sales. Even Bucky's CD is doing good!

Someone at work told me that he also has a comedy routine...he has been passing around a Demo tape in Hollywood!

and my mom's aunt's friend's uncle's cousin said that he used to date Paris Hilton too!

i didn't know that. cool. not a big country fan here.....so i don't really know when country albums drop. but that's cool. now we just need 2 people from last season to come out with an album, and i think that covers the top 10 lol.


anyway....i don't get why people are all "OMG MELINDA WENT HOME I'M NEVER WATCHING AGAIN!" because it's not like she's NOT going to get a record deal, you know she will. didn't everyone say the same thing last season with Chris?? "OMG I'M NOT WATCHING!" .....did they all not watch this season then??

in all honesty i hope Jordin wins so she can put out the craptastic Idol cd and Blake can do what he wants.

i think Elliott has a good voice, he just sings the worst songs. they're always so slow and boring and dude....you're not sexy......don't try to be. good voice.....that works for you.....just keep it at that! you know??

honesly, i didn't really like Elliott last season, either. but i went to the AI tour and i heard him sing "Savin' Me" by Nickelback with Chris and he totally outshone Chris, he sounded amazing. if he sang stuff like THAT then he would sell records in a heartbeat.

The winner? A toss up. The hometown crowd was a clue this and last year. Look at the support Jordin and Blake received compared to Melinda.... they just attract younger, LOUDER, more passionate people! Melinda is a classic, she will be around FOREVER, another Gladys Knight. Jordin and Blake represent today, and today's kids KNOW how to blow up a phone!!!

I believe that Jordin deserves it more but I love my Blake, too. We will see....

The people got it wrong yet again.

We really shouldn't be surprised about this should we? After all during these six seasons "The People" have only gotten it right twice. (Season 1 Kelly Clarkson and Season 4 Carrie Underwood)

I totally enjoyed all of the top 4 this year and thought they were the best top 4 of all of the seasons. Although I thought Lakisha was better than Blake I knew she would go home before him because he has many more fans than she has. I thought Blake was awesome during Bon Jovi night. When Blake was on HE WAS ON; however, when he wasn't on he was often inconsistent and sometimes quite boring. Jordin started a little shaky, but the past six weeks has really come into her own and is quite the talented little lady.

Although Melinda has been my favorite from the beginning as time went by I really thought that the final two would be Melinda and Jordin, with Jordin winning the Title of American Idol. I will watch the finale but I'm not interested in voting next week. The top 4 were my pick for the top 4 so I'll be happy with whoever wins.

Sure Melinda deserved to be this years American Idol, but since she is a true professional, extremely talented, and consumate performer, she'll have no worries because she'll be signed in no time. They'd be fools to let her get away.

That's okay, I don't know when albums in genres I don't listen to come out either. Yeah, I think most everyone from last year has put out an album. There were so many good people last year, and they were all so different.

I was really surprised that Melinda went home, but I'm not that upset about it or anything. You're right, she will get a record deal, and she should do very well. Look at last year's contestants as an example. I don't think I would ever get so upset over the results as to say that I wasn't ever watching the show again. I watch the show for entertainment, and so I don't get so emotionally involved in the outcome even though I do have my favorites. Even though Melinda got voted off, I think that it will be a good show next week with Jordin and Blake, both of whom I think are talented as well.

I guess I don't really care who wins. I like them both.
