I agree. I see Jordin & Blake like last years winner & runner-up. Taylor and whats her face (Katherine)? You don't hear anything from either of them. My man Chris Daughtry is booming in sales. Even Bucky's CD is doing good!

You are exactly right. Chris was my pick last year. When he lost I swore I would never watch again. Taylor has done nothing. America does not get it right! Melinda should have been in the top two. I know she will do well. I use Chris as the example.

This show is a bunch of b.s!!! Melinda is a singer. Blake is just an entertainer. Not a "real singer" like Melinda, Lakisha and Jordin. I'm soooo disappointed with tonights results . I was hoping for a good finale with the battle of the girls (melinda, jordin or lakisha). Now I wouldn't be surprised if Blakes wins it all! I hope Melinda's cd blows them out of the water. I can tell Simon is not a happy camper with the final 2.

I am sorry to see Melinda go...however, I think we are now in for the most interesting AI finale in years. Last year, it was clear Taylor would win over Katherine. The year before, Carrie was the favorite over Bo. The year before that, Fantasia was certainly going to win over Diana. I think the last time we had a close final was Clay/Rubin. I am pretty excited about the fact that this year there isn't a pre-ordained winner.

Bring it all kids because I think the title is up for grabs.

I can't truly complain because I did not vote, but this sucks. Melinda is great. I think everyone thought she was a definite so they voted for Blake and Jordon to get their 2nd place person in the finals. Everyone assumed Melinda would be in and did not vote for her.

You're probably right. I think this is Simon's fault with his certain comments. Whenever he badly critics a performance, America will vote for that person even more. But America will soon find out that Blake is not a true singer like Melinda. He is just an entertainer!

ITA. I think Melinda Dolittle is the BEST singer AI has ever seen. I think she'll go on to have a wonderful careeer--even better that she is not the winner.

I am so upset after tonight. It really does prove it's not what you know in life it is who you know. Melinda was the most talented, most consistent singer up there. She will be around for a long time like Celine, Cher, Bette for a few. Jordin will be a one CD wonder. Or maybe 2 if Daddy puts up the money for another one. I hate that they never say how much she has been pushed by her family and how much she has performed, and how well off she is, no they try to pretend she is just a 17 yr old that 11 weeks ago was singing in assemblies, what bull. And she reminds me of all the stuck up I am so much better than you girls in Highschool it makes me sick. What a fake. And people thought Lakisha was a Diva, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Anyone remember Christopher Cross years ago ? he was the next best thing to sliced bread according to the press and exactly how long did his light shine?

I was worried when I saw how pissed Simon was tonight and I was right. I know that Simon will have her recording as soon as he can but it still hurts.

I intend to only watch next week at the very end just to see the numbers because I intend to vote for 2 hrs straight for Blake! I will do everything I can so Jordin doesn't win.

Someone at work told me that he also has a comedy routine...he has been passing around a Demo tape in Hollywood!

He should stick to the beat boxing if his off-the cuff comments tonight are any indication of his comic abilities.

not to get all defensive, but here's my opinion (again).

1. it's not just 'teeny boppers' voting for blake. im 21 (ok not for another 16 days) but i vote for him too. im not a teeny bopper. I know adults that vote for him as well. He's a terrific entertainer, and he has his own style of singing. Not everyone is going to like every kind of singing... whatever. just wanted to state that it's not just the teeny boppers.

2. have you people forgot who won last year?? it was mr. wedding singer himself.... taylor 'watch me bust a move' hicks. don't get me wrong, i loved taylor, but Kat was the better "singer". Just like this year, melinda/jordin are the better "singers'" but blake is the better entertainer.

3. It's up to america. i hate to get political on a fun board, but it drives me nuts at election times too... if you don't vote, don't complain. everyone is allowed to say what they think. but some people come out and say stuff like 'this is crap. it shuldnt be this way and im never watching again' so the question is.... do you vote?? and when people say 'well, no. but...' ugh! instead of not watchin, why don't you watch and pick a new person you like?


again, i mean no disrespect from this post, just some things that have been buggin me that i needed to get off my chest. thanks for reading my vent.

I am 50 scared1: ) and I really love BOTH Jordon and Blake! I love his style! It is fun and different. It may get tiring hearing the sound that he does on every song he does, but, nevertheless, I love it and Jordon is a fantastic singer for such a young age!
I think the finalists this year are all terrific! Melinda is fantastic and hopefully, will go FAR!

Ahh I knew I'd come to this thread and find everyone all outraged and bashing Blake, seems silly to me. Even though I'm not a fan of Melinda's voice I can see why others like her, I don't see why some can't understand why others like Blake.

Oh and sadly() myself, DH and both my parents are all far from a preteen age and we're all big Blake fans. Blah, whatever.

Oh and I have nothing against Blake. I think he has a style all his own and I enjoy some of his songs. I do not think he is as talented as the young women but there are a lot of very famous people out there who aren't as talented as those 2.
