Amazing Race 11 - All Stars (begins 2/18/07)

Maybe now that Rob and Amber are gone, the other teams can stop worrying so much about where they are and focus on their own racing. I stopped counting the number of times that one of the teams asked "Where are Rob and Amber?" since the season began. It seemed to be one of the main things they were all focusing on. Rob was actually kind of growing on me, although I've never liked him before, but I wonder if now everyone will be a little more relaxed.

Does anyone else find Eric's frat boy behaviour a little old? Seriously, how many times can he comment on Danielle's breasts? The guy is 28. I think it's time to grow up.

I agree! Eric and Danielle are my least favorite team there.

I couldn't stand Rob in Survivor, but liked Rob and Amber in AR. Now I'm not sure who I'll root for or if I'll even continue to watch.

:yay: :yay: :yay: WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!! I loved last night's episode.

I am so thrilled Rob and Amber are GONE!!!!!!!

For the first and only time I was cheering for Mirna and Charla to hurry up to the pit stop. As much as I can not stand Charla and Mirna, I don't like Rob & Amber even more.

I laugh when people talked about his "good' attitude. He is so smug and he basically gave up when he wasn't in 1st place :charac2: Even Amber was commenting on it yesterday, how 'mad' he was that he wasn't first!
I was laughing when his cockiness got in the way to realize he made a spelling error!! :happytv: The names were right there, how easy would it have been to make sure you wrote the cities down correctly?

To me the show will even be more fun because they are gone. I was dreading watching Rob and Amber throughout the whole show, now I am look forward to watching it again without them in every scene.

Oh and I love how Rob read the letter from Susan and Patrick and when they wrote "I hope this letter finds you in last place" :rotfl: Oh how I bet that really burned Rob :rotfl2:

Now that Rob and Amber are gone, I would love to see Eric and Danielle gone (What a couple of airheads) and Charla and Mirna (Charla is just way too dramatic for me)

I am rooting for Joyce and Unchenna & Danny and Oswald

Rob and Amber were just on Regis and Kelly. They said that it wasn't as close as they made it seem, there were about 10 minutes behind Charla and Mirna so they knew they were last while walking to the pit stop. Rob made fun of himself for not knowing how to spell Philippines and when Regis asked them what they do for a living Amber replied we're professional reality TV people, she said they've been living a fairy tale. When asked what was next for them they said "something big" but they can't really talk about it yet.

Thanks for the heads-up, I will record it later this morning!

I'd like to see the race go like this for the boot order-

Charla and Mirna
Danielle and what's his name
Unchenna and Joyce, just because they've won already.
The Guidos
Terri and Ian
Dustin and Kandace

Winning Oswald and Danny, I just love them!

I also wouldn't mind seeing the Beauty Queens or Terri and Ian win.

Go Cha Cha Cha!:cheer2:

I was glad to see them gone. It is not fun to watch one team run over the top of the other teams and not even care. i know it is editing but they just seems so rude and condisending all the time. I was disappointed when it was announced that they would be on the show. I am really looking forward to the next show where the playing field becomes a bit more level again. I love the travel and it is the only way I will ever see those parts of the world.

It seemed to me like Romber was really off their game last night. Maybe it was just Rob, and maybe it was due to not being in first. But last week, weren't they actually LAST at some point, and came back to win the leg? I dunno, it just seemed like they should have double-checked each other's work (i.e., Rob check the destinations, Amber check the spelling) on the sign one. And it seemed a silly roadblock for Rob to do, since I see Amber as being more detail-oriented. But, who knows. I'm sad to see them go mostly because they usually have such good game play, and it's one thing to have a bad day and fall to the back of the pack, but to get totally eliminated before some of the (IMHO) weaker teams, it's kind of a shame. you could almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

I have to admit, Teri and Ian are growing on me. And I love Danny and Oswald. In fact, so long as C/M dont' win, I'm pretty good (not a huge fan of Danielle/Eric, though).

I think that was editing. For some reason CBS loves R/A. They definitely got more air time than anyone else, this season and last. You know the teams are talking about all their competition, not just them. There's more than one team to beat. CBS just wants to make it all about them for some reason.

I think this will no make AR an even better show, now that they are gone. It will finally go back to the Amazing Race, instead of "The Rob and Amber Show."

I will definitely watch. Sometimes, it's not even about the players. The concept of the show is awesome, and I love seeing all the places they go to...helps me to think of future vacations! :goodvibes

Just a theory here - but when Rob and Amber did there little good-bye message last night they mentioned something about "family". Could they be ready to start a family?

How long ago was the race taped? Could she be pregnant?

I think Rob said something like "I have an excellent wife and and the best family, so I am already a winner".

She certainly didn't look pregnant this morning on Regis & Kelly, but that doesn't mean anything.

I wish Rob & Ambers's 15 minutes of fame would end already. I can't stand how cocky he is and she's pretty conniving herself. The poor sportsmanship I've seen from the two of them on the Amazing Race and Survivor makes them out to be two of the ugliest people. (on the inside I mean):confused3

Good bye Rob and Amber :thumbsup2 Couldn't get those two off the show fast enough for me....now let the race begin

Does anyone else think Rob/Amber dropped out on purpose? It all looked staged.

I agree. It wasn't just Rob but even Amber didn't seem in any hurry to get to the finish line. Their last walk through the woods seemed like a nice stroll! It was very bizarre. If Mirna and Charla were doing level 5, why were Rob and Amber doing level 1?

After reading a few more posts here, I guess it was because Rob and Amber knew there was no hope. Editting must have just dubbed in the "Hurry, Amber, Hurry" and the end while they were going along the path.

That's because they knew they were last. They said on Regis and Kelly that they were farther behind then it looked on TV. Rob said they were 10 minutes behind Charla and Mirna so they knew they were last before they even started walking towards the pit stop.

Boy, I totally agree about that. I have no doubt that during interviews, teams were asked "what do you think about Rob and Amber?" And then they used their answers on the show, implying that everybody was obsessed by those two. The teams are on camera 24 hours a day, and there's more than enough footage to make anybody a hero or a villain if they want.

But I'll never understand why Romber are supposed to be so fascinating, anyway. Yeah, they're good racers (although when things went bad, Rob seemed to pack it in), but they just aren't all that interesting. And part of what I like about reality shows is that they supposedly show how normal people handle these situations. But when you're a professional reality show contestant (it's their 6th show each, people!) you're not a "normal" person any more. I noticed how camera-aware those two were; that comes with practice.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure that "Romber: The Pregnancy" is in the works.

I have no doubt.:lmao: That is probably the "big project" they couldn't talk about on Regis and Kelly.
