I am SO glad to finally get the smug Romber off my screen. Actually, the only reason I've been watching TAR is because I saw from the spoilers that they were out in episode 4. I couldn't have put up with them the entire race.

I have been avoiding this thread all day . I was at my niece's Bat Mitzvah this weekend and didn't get to see AR last night. I just watched the race on my DVR. I was not as happy with the outcome as I thought I would be. As much as I was a TTWSNBN (Romber) hater when they were on before, I began to really like them this season. They were smart racers, they worked well togther with and they kept most of their dirty tricks under wraps. Until last night. Obviously, Rob should have listened to Amber and changed tasks way before he did. Then, it was all "needle in a haystack" from there.

Anyway ... I love Team Cha-Cha, Team Guido and the BQs. I don't really "hate" anyone, including Myrna and Shimna.

I can not stand Charla and Mirna. Ugh. Besides the fact that I've never liked them, my roommate and I noticed that when Mirna talks to any locals in the countries they're in, she talks with a fake accent, like she's not American, either... now that we've noticed it, it's driving us crazy.

I've noticed it too. It's really annoying.

The website televisionwithoutpity is full of spoilers. Someone, somewhere had to have leaked the information for the general public to get hold of it. It really is a shame.

With the Amazing Race it can be easy to get spoilers because as they race they are interacting with local people, out in public view, etc. A lot of spoilers are from people around the world who spot them. It was easier this time because the teams were familar. A lot of info for the spoilers seems to come from the Airports or people on the flights with the teams. Because of the camera crew that follows teams around they are sort of easy to spot. They don't necessarily blend into the crowd. TAR seems to be one of the reality shows where you can easily get spoilers because they are so visible. On the TAR Spoiler board I read most of their information has come from people spotting the teams around the world. There is even photographic evidence of the top 4 for this season that someone shot while the teams were performing a task. The initial spoilers came from people who saw the teams in the Miami airport and heard where they were going. So it doesn't have to be that anyone leaked the information.

I think it was Regis who was asking Rob what he did for a living...
Reality Shows...He golfs and plays poker therest of the time..
What a life they have...Enough to make anyone jealous..

There reality tv show on Fox reality was about them leaving there home in florida to move to vegas so Rob cn try to become a professional poker player...I think it was 10 episodes and it ended with them getting the call from AR and talking a bit of strategy....like them or not there reality show was pretty good and they seem to have a very good marriage and he respects her 100 percent and she supports him 100 percent.....I hope they do more of those shows now that this is over....I dont see why anyone would be jealous they were blessed with an oppurtunity and have taken full advantage of it and living the good life....why not be happy for them

And Romber fans... the Reality Network is showing a two hour block tonight of their awful show about Rob becoming a poker player. Knock yourself out!

I like the show...i think its very good and fun to watch and hope they do more....it ended with them getting the call from AR why not pick right back up

I was worried that it would be a non-elimination round, thank goodness it wasn't.

Rob is just too darn cocky. Well, at least this lost can't be blamed on the airlines.

they still won more on this season than most will win in a lifetime...a run of bad luck hurt them...but they still have plenty

Huh? Because I happen to think they are not nice people. I have watched them both of Surviror and AR both times each and they do not possess empathy for other people. Yeah, the thought of Rob raising a kid scares me, sorry. I don't have Fox reality and have not seen the show you seem to like. this doesnt make you the best person in the world by default you know....you could be very mean to people too....but to question ones integrity that you dont really know based on some editing....I have no choice but to question yours....based on your statement....i dont see where they were mean to anyone....I saw them do some questionable things to win a race but that doesnt automatically make Rob a bad father....they are out to win a million bucks....I see nothing they did to make you question there integrity.....

I am not one to get in on "these" discussions, but I must comment on this one statement you made.
I think that there are more people in this world that should "scare" you on raising a child. If you feel that romber has a good marriage, then that should show to you that they would also make good parents. TV reality shows are very edited, and AR is about winning a race, all the teams play dirty at times, but cbs has always put more tv time on romber (both on survivor and AR) as they are favorites among viewers. How do any of us know how they would be as parents? We just know how they are as edited reality tv "stars"
Dh and I are amazing parents, but I can assure you that some people would not like us if we were on AR cause we would play just the same way.....Not there to make friends (if you do then that is great) but you are there to win a race.........I would hate to think our parenting would be questioned based on how we played a game...............

Others have played a much cleaner..."nicer race" and have actually won. Joyce and Uchenna and the Hippies immediately come to mind.

I guess Karma plays a role in this game.

Ok lets get back on topic now, and agree to disagree...you like them and I don't. Diversity makes the world go round.

What in the world makes you think we are jealous of them? Why is it so hard to understand that some of us just do not like them, period.

I'm sure I could come up with a huge list of actors, actresses, athletes... that I love that you may not. Does that mean you're jealous of them? Of course not.

I have had enough of the Rob and Amber Show. I won't watch anything that they are on unless it's a show that I normally watch. I didn't watch the wedding show or the poker show. I won't watch the we're expecting show. I won't watch the baby's on the way show...

They called in yesterday on a local radio show. Both Amber and Rob said they did not know what they were doing wrong on lining up the signs (misspelling Phillipines) until they watched the show last Sunday. They said no where on the clue or did anybody say that they had to have the correct spelling. Rob said he could have stayed there all day and not figured out what he was doing wrong. Amber said even though she wanted to ditch it earlier than they did, she wasn't mad at Rob because she'd have never figured out the order. They also said they were about 10-15 minutes behind C&M and there was no way it could be a foot race, so there wasn't any point in running. Not being able to get a taxi right away kind of squashed their chances. They talked about how the editing of the show spins things different ways.

They said their favorite countries have been the ones they raced thru in
Africa and where they were eliminated.

I thought it was an interesting conversation with them and I'm sure that like them or not, we haven't seen the last of them.
