All Star Movies, room 5820, Fantasia Sorcerors Hat
This is for 9/23-28. I totally forgot to do a review of the hotel, lol.

We got into the room at noon time. The bathroom had a couple of hairs on the floor and the bureau really needs a good scrub down. The room is very cute though. I love the bathroom theme.

The Fantasia Pool: my daughter loved this and it cooled us off quickly.

The Mighty Ducks Pool: We went over, it seemed a bit cooler and there were only a couple of children in the pool. My daughter said it wasn't as fun as the other one, so we went back to the Fantasia Pool.

The Food Court: The food wasn't too bad. It was a little slow at lunch, so we never went back at lunch time. Breakfast was very yummy. We got pancakes every morning:)

The front desk staff were very nice and quick to check in or out. The gift shop staff were very nice (we had stuff shipped back there-- I love that perk!).

The landscaping was really nice, no trash lying around. The other buildings were really nice to look at.

Only problem we had was on the 24th, we left for the day and when we came back in the evening, our room wasn't cleaned and we had a bag of towels left on our door. We didn't have the privacy sign up so, not sure why they didn't clean our room?

***edited to add: We are going back next August. After staying off property every other time down here and finally stay on property...there is a difference. It's more magical, there are more perks and you are so close to everything Disney. I love it!!***

We stayed at ASM in May. We've always stayed on site, and have always been pleased with service and cleanliness. I must say, the service is always the best, very courteous. People are always picking up trash, always willing to help. This past time was the worst though. I had bought some crayola bath crayons to take with us, sort-of winding down play time for the kids in the bath before they sleep off their wild day. Anyways, they drew with these crayons all over the tiles in the tub. I felt bad that they had made a mess, so when I showered I took my washcloth and "washed" the tiles off. I get to the soap dish on the wall and start wiping it all over, and I notice all this black smudge on the white cloth. YUCK, I bent over and there was mildew underneath, A LOT of it. Needless to say, I was not happy. So, from now on, if I decide to budget my resort, I guess I need to take some bath scrubber from home and clean before we use it. Otherwise, I'll complain and have them come clean again. Just hate to be such a whiner.

ewww, that's yucky!

My family and I are considering All Star Movie. I have that the rooms are not clean and even some roaches have been spotted. Would you consider still staying there? I would really like any input...

We stayed there last year and LOVED it. I had no complaints about the room. Our room was clean (although I never had the opportunity to check under anything in the bathroom, so not sure on that one! :guilty: ).

With kids you can't beat the theming. We spent lots of time in that Fantasia pool!! My littlest really enjoyed the kiddie pool, too. We didn't discover the cool playground until our last day, but it's tucked away just off the path from the pool to I think the Toy Story bldgs.

We stayed in one of the Love Bug bldgs and had a room that faced the back parking lot. As a result it was nice and quiet. I'm not sure I would want a room facing the pool, but that's just me. I'd rather walk a bit further and know it'll be peaceful in my room.

Anyway I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again! No problem with buses, either. In the morning when it was always busiest, there were plenty of buses running every few minutes.

We have always stayed at the All-Stars, since 1994, with the exception of one year we had discounted rooms at the Caribbean Beach. The ASR is more convenient for familys. Walking distances to food courts, playgrounds accessible, pools are great too. I was just disappointed at the cleanliness of the room this last time. Now, granted, it might have been a fluke for me, probably would never happen again, but I guess you sometimes take things for granted when your in Disney. Most, if not all, of everything can be exceptional. We, the children and I, really look forward to our yearly trek.
Only thing for us this next year, we haven't decided if we want to do Movies again. My friend actually stayed off-site this spring, at the Nickelodeon themed resort. They loved it. The pricing was comparable as well. And now that they kids are getting older, they are looking for different adventures. Hubby is also tired of Disney every year (I think he is growing old, :) ) So, maybe staying off-site will be our choice, maybe we'll tie in some Universal or Sea World with Disney this next spring.

Don't make your choice on resorts soley on my review. Like I stated already, it might have been a fluke, and had it not been for those darn Crayola bath crayons, I wouldn't have been cleaning, LOL.
