All Star Dump

I stayed at All Star Music on Aug 10 - 16 and was VERY dissapointed. The room was filty, and ant infested. I called housekeeping about the ants and they offered to spray, however I have a 7 month old son and could not have bug spray in the room. They offered to move us, however we were with a group and would not have been in the same building with the rest of the group. Sure you offered some solutions which did not meet our needs, but the problem is WHY WOULD YOU HAVE ANT INFESTED ROOMS in the first place. I would not recommend this hotel to an enemy much less a friend. The room was also small with limited storage. The room was dark and dingy and needed updating. I had to ask housekeeping repeatedly for extra towels and to change the sheets. The grounds were nice if you could overlook the HUGE cockaroaches and grasshoppers that littered the pathways. We stayed on Aug 8 and 9th at a Universal Hotel and have to say, that from now on we will stay at a Univeral Resort.

I will also add that this was the third time we have stayed at a Disney resort, and the other experiences were great. I refuse to spend money on a Disney resort again after our last experience.

This sounds like a very isolated case...... I have never heard of cockroaches at any disney hotel..... You do need to give them credit for trying to held you out........ Was there something in particular you wanted them to do for you that they didn't offer?

Yes, when I called maintenance they said that they were aware that the ground units were having issues with bugs. They should have sprayed before allowing anyone into the unit. Specifically we were in the All Star music in the very back building near the water retention basin. It is the "Country" building.

We had 75 families in our group. I can tell you I am not the only one with a bad experience. One member of the group had a huge, and I mean huge cocharoach in her bathtub. Another called and asked for toilet paper at 10pm and had a knock on the door at 2am to deliver the toilet paper.

Perhaps I am just used to staying at nicer places, I would not recommend this place at all.

That is disgusting!!!!!!!!! I probably would have insisted that my family be move to a completely different hotel! I would have had nightmares of bugs crawling into bed with me......

We stayed at Sports about 5 years ago. Partway thru our stay, we returned to our room one afternoon and there were ants all around the door and window. Well, when we entered the room, we found it crawling (no pun intended) with ants. They were all over. Apparently, they got in under the door or around the AC unit. They did come out and spray, but we still felt creepy sleeping there.

Sorry to hear about your bad stay at the All Stars. Give WDW another chance by booking a moderate or deluxe next time. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Well, it's FL! It has nothing to do with clean/not clean.

Roaches are disgusting and everywhere. We have had them for a couple of months. The exterminator said to put some boric acid around.

The AS are not for everyone. We like them okay, but I have only stayed two days at a time. For a longer trip, I would want a little more in a resort.

We have stayed at the value resorts on several occasions lured by the cheaper price. But after c/i to a room that had hair on the bathroom floor and a wet carpet where they had obviously cleaned a spot, a food court always crowded with young teammembers, not to mention the stay when we were awoken by cheerleaders practicing their routines outside our door was just too much. We find it is worth the extra $$ to just stay at a moderate or higher. The values are not for us.
