AKV Kidani SV villa request

Hi all. I started to read the mega AKV thread but couldn't find the info.....

We are staying 5 nights at Kidani with a Savannah view. If I recall, there is a giraffe area and a zebra area (its been 6 years we have been to WDW). We would love to see giraffes. Can anyone please help with what villa to request? We are staying in a studio.

AKV-Kidani has two savannas: The Sunset Savana and the Pembe Savanna. The giraffes and zebras are on the Sunset Savanna and they are not on the Pembe Savanna. The giraffes and zebras are free to roam anywhere on the Sunset Savanna they want, so I wouldn't say that there is a "giraffe area" or a "zebra area" on the Sunset Savanna.

If you want to see giraffes, I suggest requesting the Sunset Savanna.

Just remember that animals do move-freely! I remember being in a studio on the Sunset Savannah, and yet I didn't see any giraffes all week. But the same savannah goes over to Jambo, and there were plenty of giraffes there all the times I've been there. Last year we were on the Sunset Savannah at Kidani again, with our DGDs so we had a 2 BR. This time we saw lots of giraffes. So remember, they DO move!

This map gives ranges of room numbers in each pod (the north wing is the left side of the map and the south wing the right side):

Also, be aware that if they are unable to meet a location rquest, they do not try to find something close to it but instead just put you in any available room, which is very often a room near the ned of one of the wings.

Yes of course but it’s a good reminder, there are no guarantees.

Thank you for the map and the link. The link answered my questions. We don’t mind the walk to Jambo and would like to be close to the pool.
