AKL Parking Gripe

We have stayed at AKL twice and always pulled up to the front door (under the port cachere) and a bellman took our luggage and I then self parked. After check-in the CM called for our luggage and the bellman took us to our room.

Whoever yelled at JamesM897 was wrong and he should have complained to the valet counter. At least that's what I would have done...very loudly I might add because we don't travel lite!

We were not intending to use the bell service, only had three large bags. My fiance was just dropping me off with the bags and he was going to go self-park. We pulled off to the side and before either of us began to step out of the car the valet began waving his arms and yelling at us that we had to go to the lower lot. My fiance was very mad and we did complain. Funny enough the people in front of us at check-in complained about the same guy so it was probably just him. Maybe you have to use the bell-service to drop off at the top level, but the valet never had the chance to discover our intentions before throwing his fit. At any rate, we hauled our bags to our room, took one look out the window at three giraffes and were immediately over it.
