ADR System Upgrade - History

I just realized that I posted on my pre-trip report but never reported here that I was able to get ALL of my ADR's for my trip in April at the times I wanted. I made reservations for 12-16 people from April 15th through the 25th. We wanted relatively early ADR's because we have three children and a diabetic with us so my plan was to get our ADR's at 5:30ish...and every reservation is between 5 and 5:30 except for the one that I wanted after 6 (Cinderella's Gala Feast) which is at 6:10.

I called right at 7 and was on hold for less than a minute and 10 ADR's were completed within 20 minutes.

Good luck to all of you! I hope you have as much luck as I did!

Well on the bright side. The new resort photos on the WDW website are great and the site has a lot more useful information.

I was thinking the same thing. Honestly, I like the layout and how its broken into three sections based on what part of the planning stage your in. :thumbsup2

I hope they get the calendar figured out by the time they put up the May hours. As it is right now, the calendar I see does not have any parades or fireworks times on it. How frustrating!!

I hunted around and didn't find them. I hope someone does. I emailed them about this too. I'm sure I'll get some lame response.

I cannot stand their new site. It's very slow. The online shopping site is the same way now too. VERY SLOW!

Having rang for ADR's 3 times in the last week, every CM has said our Disney hotel reservation number wasn't necessary? :confused3

They asked when I first started booking two weeks ago though, I wonder why the change.

Also to add if anyone is after Le Cellier get ringing as ringing at 88 days out (i forgot this ADR) the earliest time they had left for dinner was 8.30pm, too late for us with young children.

That's weird that some of us can see them and others can't. Because I was just looking at the April Calendar and I was able to see parade and fireworks times by clicking on the day.

Doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried the date that comes up on the first page and also on the calendar. Nothing.

I must be doing something wrong which indicates how really HORRIBLE their new site is. I cannot stand it and it's VERY SLOW!

There doesn't appear to be any links on the dates for me.

Did you do it on the calendar or on the date that's listed below?

This is what I see...the hours, but no parade or show times?

Question then,

Do you book when your arrival date is 90 days out or do you have to call them each day for the whole duration of days staying at the park for ADR? I arrive on April 25th, so can I only book 90's (next sunday)for the 25th and then call them again on monday for the 26th and tuesday for the 27th or is it 90 days from your arrival date for the whole trip?

That's what I see. No parades, no fireworks. I'm curious about Spectro and Fantasmic!

Are you staying on property? If you are staying on Disney property you can make ONE CALL for the entire trip (up to ten days 90 + 10)...

If you are staying off property, you need to call 90 days from each date you want to book.

That's the old version of the site, which some users are still seeing. The new one will give you a ten-day list of all parks and their opening times from the date you select.

Here in the UK we can only get the old version - without using proxys anyway - as the Disney International redirects seem to be broken too. :( If you can get to the UK site (www.disneyworld.co.uk) it still has the old calendar with the parade & firework times.

I'm getting the 10 day list, but no parades or fireworks. It is not the old site. I only wish it was.

Correct, the new site has the ten-day list, which does not have the Parade/Firework times listed. Those are only on the old site.

The new site is a classic case of form over function - looks nice, but doesn't actually do what you want it to.
