ADR System Upgrade - History

I was wondering how far in advance you can make ADRs? Also I was planning on trying to possibly book the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's for mine and my fiance's honeymoon, do I wait the same time to book that as well?

When booking a resesrvation the other day the Cast Member told me to go online and book my dining. She told me to go to the website and add /dining. If I do that I come to the restaurants but I don't see where I can book dining. Anyone done this? What is she talking about. She did say I needed my reservation number. So do I have to go into the reservation or something.

I know that online booking is one of the components of the new reservation system that they've been working on for months. We've not heard any word (except this) that this component is functioning or close to functional though.

I moved this post up to the ADR System sticky that is at the top of the forum. Lots of people subscribed to this thread will be interested to hear that a CM thinks it is close to functional.

Well per your signature, your trip is in July. So you wouldn't be able to book your dining (on the phone or online) until the April time frame when your 90 day window opens. He/She probably meant that it would be up and running online by then.

If your trip is not in July and you were booking for something sooner, then I don't know what was meant by that.

The trip is February 24th!! Sorry my signatures aren't updated!! I just assumed I didn't know this was up and running yet and I would go to the boards to find out how to do it! I didn't listen to her real well, but she sounded very convinced. She said to use my reservation number to do it. At work today so don't have time to play with it yet! I will let you know if I find a way if not I will call back and ask another CM! Not that I expect the same answer from two different CM's

Don't worry, no one else can book anything before you - it's not like some people are booking at 180 days out and you're stuck with what's left at 90. You've just got to remember to ring on a different day, that's all.

Basically, 90 is the new 180.

on the bright side of life. Had you been able to book 180 days out you would have been booking past the initial point. Now that you know it's 90 days out you'll be able to call in the first available day. And maybe park hours will be out by then.

Don't forget DRT, CM and V&A can be booked though June 19th.

I was worried also about my adrs for my April trip, but I was able to get everything I wanted. I have even made a few changed in the last couple of weeks and I had no problem with those changes, so hopefully you will have a positive experience. I will be calling for June also. Just be sure you have your date on your calendar and you should be fine.

Well it's just that I booked our airline tickets and hotel. Hopefully there won't be a mad dash when the 90 day comes up. We had such a blast at the Disney restaurants last year, and since my mom is coming with us this year, I wanted to make sure everything is in order since there will be 7 of us and that may present some difficulty with the ressies. I do hope everything will pan out.

Can anyone tell me if the May park hours are released yet? Something has happened to the Disneyworld website and I can only get onto the UK version rather than the International one, and its always really slow at being updated! I'm worried I am missing planning time!

you can just click on the planning link on DIS and you will see the park houirs link on the left. i didn't check before posting but you really don't need the official site for anything when you have DIS!

I understand about having 7 in your party, we had 6 this year and we usually have 4, but we were very fortunate and were able to get all of our adrs. I think that I might have had to be flexible on one or two within 20 minutes or so, but that is not really unusual. Hope you have great luck!

Try clicking on the calendar up top to change the start date.
It was a little slow for me just now, but it eventually came up with my dates.

I see what you mean now -- I think my (Feb.) hours are coming up because they're within the next 90 days -- maybe that's why yours aren't. Oh, well. I thought I could be helpful. Sorry not to have anything more to offer on this front.
