ADR System Upgrade - History

I called 12/30 to make our ADR's for May. I was informed that the change to 90 days had just been implemented. My concern is that many people going in May could have made their ADRS at the 180 day mark before the change took place. I was waiting for the hours to open, however many people may not have. Hopefully I am worrying for nothing. :scared:

to be too concerned. The 90 day rule has been in effect for most restaurants for several months. It easily predates the May period. The only ones that were open previously for May were CRT, CM and V&A. You can book any of those today for a May trip. They can be booked through 6/19.

no, I don't believe anyone had the opportunity to make any May ADRs (except CRT, CM and VA). The ADRs were closed up to March 23 and then they opened beyond that to a 90 day window. So no worries!

I don't think you need to worry about that. No one has been able to make ADRS past March 22nd for some time. I don't think there are many (if any at all) that are going in May that have been able to make thier ADR's yet. I am going 4/26 to 5/4 and booked my trip in Oct. I was not able to book my ADR's at the 180 mark because they had shut it off at that point to anyone arriving after March 22nd because of the new program.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I thought that I had just missed the cut-off. This makes me feel much better.

not to be a broken record, but if we could just have those May hours that would help us all just a bit. Like many others I am planning a special occasion while we are there (celebration of my dad and his identical twin's 60th birthday). it would help tons in my planning if we could at least have the May hours.

So Chef Mickeys and Victoria and Alberts will also be 90 days out??

I need to book the first week in August and the 180 window is approaching.

Thanks

Yes, Chef Mickey's, Victoria and Alberts, Cinderella's Royal Table are ALL now 90 days out. So you can't call next week for August. You have to wait until 90 days.

The Chef Mickey and Victoria and Albert's explanation is in the first post. For you, in August, you will book at exactly 90 days from the date you check in to your resort (if you're staying at a Disney resort). If you're staying off site you'll book 90 days from the date you're dining there.

It's so frustrating to get conflicting information from CM's - I just called and was told there was no exceptions and it's a strict 90 days in advance..

Oh well - I will try again in a few months..

If you are going June 1 - June 19, then call back.

There has been (recent) official documentation within Disney changing the policy for ADR CM's that they can book up through June 19 for those three.

Thanks- I got a reservation for June 15th - They had so many slots open on all my days and all the times.... I guess it's all just getting lucky with who answers.

Try again! I already have CRT dinner for 6/13 and CM breakfast for 6/16. I got them both earlier this week thanks to this thread.

Also, TREX is taking ADR's 180 days out now as well. 407 828 TREX not through Disney Dining.

Thanks my DD is totally afraid of them, so we will skip that. Luckily we got CRT and Chef Mickeys in May, though!

I called WDW DINE yesterday to just check in and they told me that they are on a 90 day ADR system BUT, that can change at anytime so make sure to call back sporadically to see if it has changed back to 180 days. That's kind of frustrating to me, but I will definitely do it. My 180 day mark isn't until late February, so I will be sure to call back frequently between then and my 90 day mark to make sure. I'm just nervous about getting my reservations!

I don't see them going back to 180 days anytime soon. A lot of people are liking the change. Who knows where they want to eat 6 months in advance. If they do change it back to 180, then you'll hear about it pretty quickly on The Dis if you don't want to call and try.

I was wondering how far in advance you can make ADRs? Also I was planning on trying to possibly book the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's for mine and my fiance's honeymoon, do I wait the same time to book that as well?

Thanks!
