Acceptance rate?

Awww, thank you. I would dearly love to be a Fairy Godmother in Training. Having had 4 DDs and 6 nieces, I'm more than qualified to fix princess hair! princess: My 19yo was a FGMiT at DTD and has threatened my life if I get it and get the MK location, however...:scared:

2nd choice would be Vacation Planner (years of experience there, too), 3rd is Merchandise (Ziwadi Marketplace at AKL, if I can dream...)

Those are great choices!

Is this the same DD your hoping to room with on the cp? Have all your DD's done the cp?

Those would be fun locations. I myself worked Merchandise at MK (on my cp) and did a Professional Internship in Entertainment (I was global).

My oldest 2 have done CPs, the younger 2 (11 & 9) already have theirs planned out. ;) My oldest worked at the Confectionary on Main Street, went home for a few months, then went back. She's now a full time CM at the resort call center. 19yo worked at Toy, then switched over to FGMiT and extended. She went home, then came back with me 3 weeks later to work at WoD and get her seasonal part time status. She's going back in a few weeks to work over the Spring Break season. She's thinking of going back to college (she's currently in cosmetology school), but can't decide when, so that leaves the Spring '09 CP up in the air for her.

What is Toy? Is it a merchandise location? How long did it take her to get seasonal status?

Wow that sounds awesome that they both got jobs right away....

What I'd like to know, is how would you go about getting a job like that after your CP?

Do you apply? Do you get called?

I'd love doing something like that.

yes, it's the Once Upon a Toy store at DTD (she'd worked at Build a Bear since she was 15, so I think this was a no-brainer for her recruiter!). She was home from her CP 3 weeks and I had to go back to do a weekend show at the Contemporary, so she came with me. We arrived on Mon and she was back to work on Wed. She did have to take Traditions again as well as training to work at WoD, but then worked through the weekend.

If you want to go FT/PT after the CP in a different role, you have to go to Casting to see if there is room for you. If you want to stay in your role, then you would talk to one of your managers.

I feel exactly the same way!! I really worry that all the people are just going to want to party all the time and Im just not into that. I just want to be in Disney!! Lol!

If no one mines, Joanna or anyone please when you were in CP program how can u save money??? Any tips would be appreciated!!!

What happens if you have an outside attractions and their is bad weather (since they are unpreditable and frequent in florida)??? Do u have to work that day or will they put you elsewhere in park???

I tried calling my CP recruited, to emphasize what attractions I would like to work and theme park, but I guess she is busy today!!!! I wrote email instead!!Has anyone ever got their preference???? Same thing with hotel???

oh yeah, I applied for:

1. Attractions ( love to work splash mountain, Pirates, haunted mansion, or anything in any land except IASW- continuous song and dolls probably drive me crazY)

2.Hospitality- (any resort, all beautiful)

3. Merchandise (MK hopefully) I have the gut feeling that I will be in Merchandising, since my interviewer found out I have 3 years of retail and sale experience!!!! LOL, trying do something new!!!!:confused3

Hey there. Here are some of the things I did:
1) I tried to bring lunch a lot. Buying lunch all the time will quickly add up.

2) I didn't have a car, so I didn't have to buy gas.

3) This is personal, but I enjoyed staying in a 3-BR. This is cheaper then a 1-BR or 2-BR.

4) I picked up a few extra hour shifts, just for fun.

If there is bad weather, it depends on your role. When I was in merchandise, we usually closed down the cart. In entertainment, we either went somewhere with a covering, went to another location, or did not come out at all. Attractions will be a mix of both, depending on how severe.
